30A Beach Trip Recap + Where to Stay!

As you know, I took a recent road trip with the girls! I wanted to do a more comprehensive post on our 30A beach trip recap and where we stayed! For the past several summers, we have gone to 30A for Jordan’s family beach trip, and I have fallen in love with the area! (If you’ve been reading for a while now, you may even remember this post from when I attended South Walton Fashion Week – just the beginning of my love affair with 30A.)

WHY 30A?

Basically 30A is a stretch of highway that fronts several immaculate beach communities. If you are driving west to east, it starts right after Sandestin and spans all the way to Panama City. See the map for more detail here. This was my very first time staying near Inlet Beach and Rosemary Beach as we normally stay near the Seaside and Watercolor properties. I LOVED getting to see and explore this different section of the beach, but you might be wondering WHY 30A is so popular.

For starters, the sands and ocean along 30A are unlike anywhere else. The sands are a pure white, and the water is an amazing blue/green. A pretty big difference from the Mississippi beaches if you’re willing to drive a little further. (The drive to 30A from Baton Rouge is about 5 hours during low traffic times for reference.)

But perhaps the biggest difference is that this highway isn’t just a row of condominiums and hotels. Each property feels like a private community and neighborhood with it’s own central hub of restaurants and shopping, resort-like pools and family activities. You’re more likely to hop on your bike than hop in your car. And we were able to enjoy all of these things during our recent stay with ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals!

The Pointe

We found The Pointe through ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals. This is an optimal place to stay if you’re traveling with a smaller group and cannot fill up an entire beach house. The property offers two or three bedroom condos with luxurious amenities while being a short walking distance (or biking distance!) away from the Rosemary Beach community. There are even bike rentals on site to help you explore the area. On top of being practically brand new, The Pointe is a full-service, luxury property. You can see how gorgeous it is in the photos, right?!

My Favorite Parts of Our Stay

Of course, I spent most of my time at The Pointe next to the resort style pool. We had a large balcony off the living space with a dining table + one of the bedrooms had a balcony with a lounge chair that overlooked the pool as well. Basically pick a pretty spot to sip your morning coffee! And speaking of coffee, each unit has it’s own full kitchen and dining area. We filled our fridge with fresh fruit, snacks and water bottles – and OJ + champagne for mimosas. We also picked up fresh salads from right across the street at Freshii! Also across the street, the Donut Hole. Y’all, so good.

As you can see in the photos, we had ample and generous space in our unit! SO much closet space, and the bathrooms were huge! I loved how big the bedrooms were and how much storage was available – especially important on any beach trip. I’ve had much smaller rooms and bathrooms at actual beach houses, so the space was a major plus.

Coming Soon!

Because The Pointe is fairly new, they are still introducing some of their new amenities. We took a look at the future rooftop lounge that overlooks the 30A skyline. Such a pretty spot to look at the sunset with a cocktail! And speaking of cocktails, there will soon be a poolside drink service as well. Can’t wait to catch a fruity drink there next time!

There will also be a full-service restaurant on site that will be serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner. I even got confirmation that they will have a full coffee service there as well – of course, I asked. Another option for dining-in is using the barbecue grilling area off the back of the pool deck.

As you can see, you’ve pretty much got everything you need for a beach getaway if you’re looking for somewhere to stay along 30A! For more information, visit the ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals website!
