To get some ideas on what to share with you guys this spring, I went back through ALL of my blog posts from this time last year. Not only was it a fun little trip down memory lane, but I was able to spot all of my repeat outfit offenders. I noticed a few specific pieces that I literally wore over and OVER again. That gave me the idea to round up my top three must-have spring accessories and share them in today’s post with Sole Society!
I came up with the idea for this post before I packed for Charleston, so I must have been thinking about it subconsciously as I packed for my trip. I ended up packing ALL three pieces and wore them almost every day while I was there – further proving my affinity for them! (I’ll bet you can guess what they are just by looking at the first photo in today’s post!)

Not-so-fun-fact: Jordan HATES Valentine’s Day. In fact, I’ve had so many other people tell me that their significant others do as well. (It most likely has something to do with the pre-set menus and the pressure to produce some amazing romantic gesture.) We usually pick a weeknight or the weekend before to eat at our favorite restaurant – something a little more low-key. So I thought I would put together a few casual Valentine’s Day date ideas for anyone looking for alternate options to the typical three-course dinner.
And I’ve also teamed up with Sofft to put together a casual Valentine’s Day outfit idea with their Somers slip-on sneaker. What I love about this shoe is your ability to wear it with basically everything! (I’m typing this post now wearing yoga pants and my Somers.) And look how cute it is with white jeans and a little off-the-shoulder top – perfect for a weekend date with your other half!
Just in time for my trip to Charleston today, I’m sharing my travel bucket list for 2017! (Ps. Who books a flight with a layover in Houston on Super Bowl Sunday when the game is in Houston? I digress.) I’ve also teamed up with Jenn from Haute Off the Rack and Sofft Shoes to give away the perfect travel shoe later today, the Somers slip-on sneaker! I love this shoe so much that have it in both last year’s tan and this year’s pretty blush color– also seen in this slip-on sneaker post!
Look out for a special giveaway Instagram post tonight at 8 p.m. CST for instructions on how to enter to win a pair of Somers for you and your bestie!
I’ve been so fortunate to have such travel flexibility the past few years, and it’s been one of my favorite parts of this blogging adventure. As a content creator, I find so much inspiration in the places that I visit, and creating content around cities with rich history always keeps me motivated. I thought it would be fun to make a list of all of the places that I’d like to travel to this year and why. (Some of these are already scheduled trips and some I’m hoping to make official.) Would love to hear your must-see places and what is on your travel bucket list for this year!

Today, I’m talking about my new and improved weekly workout schedule for 2017. And when I say new and improved, I mean I actually have a workout schedule this year. Unlike last year when I hit the gym MAYBE three times. (So embarassing, I know.) I’m sharing my failures from last year and how I’ve been able to make time for exercise in today’s post!
Last year I used time as an excuse to not workout. I kept telling myself there wasn’t enough time in the day. I’m the biggest non-morning person you’ll ever meet. I need my 8+ hours of sleep you guys! When I did have a full-time office job going to the gym after work to sweat for an hour sounded like the WORST idea ever. Not to mention, my evenings were devoted to my blog at that time, so I just didn’t do it.
Once I decided to go full-time with APOL, I made a mental list of all the things that I’d have “time” to finally do. I was so excited to read more, workout, cook more, get outside, see my friends. But guess what. I still didn’t do any of those things.
I’m not sure if it’s the new year or the sentiment of starting January with a clean slate – but I’m seriously craving crisp whites this month. You might have noticed a pattern in my recent posts, but I seem to be drawn towards all of the white wardrobe staples lately. I remember when I was searching high and low for short white dresses when I was engaged and came up with next to nothing. And NOW I’m finding all the most beautiful white tops and bridal dresses. I’m talking bell sleeves, lace detailing, ruffles – the works! I just can’t pass them up! I know some of you might be feeling the same way, so I felt compelled to put all of my favorite white pieces all in one post.
The Endless Rose bell sleeve top is featured in today’s outfit, and it’s seriously a best-seller for good reason! Not only is it so cute to wear all year round, but it also comes in multiple colors. I paired it with cropped flare jeans, but it’s also great to pair with mini skirts or even shorts once it gets a bit warmer. And because I’m on a camel kick, I’ve been wearing these Sole Society mules and this cognac saddlebag on REPEAT. It’s obnoxious. I apologize in advance for how often I’m going to be sharing these two!
