you as THE dress you just have to have. The Yumi Kim dress in today’s post is that summer dress for me. It’s a little kimono style meets really
feminine floral print meets luxe but comfortable fabric. Wear it to dinner,
wear it to a party, wear it on the couch watching Days of Our Lives on the DVR
– okay, I really did that once when I came home wearing it.
favorite prints yet! I wore it with rose quartz jewelry by Julie Vos and a pair
of killer white pumps. I don’t know if you guys have noticed or not, but I also
have this azur Stella crossbody with me ALL of the time. I don’t think that I truly
expected to use it so much when I picked out the color. It was ultimately
between azur and blush – and I’m thinking that I’ve worn the azur way more than
I would have ever worn blush. I’m a big fan!

Congrats to one of my favorite girls – Kathleen from Carrie Bradshaw Lied! Her new summer collection with Morning Lavender launched earlier today, and it could not get ANY cuter you guys! Here’s one of my favorite pieces, a chambray culotte jumpsuit, that I was able to check out early before the launch. Ps. I’ve already taken it for a spin, and it’s just as comfortable as it is adorable. Also on my list are a palm print sarong, lemon print top and white striped floppy hat!
YAY Kathleen, you rock girlfriend!
I’ve rounded up my favorites in today’s post – can you spot the dress named after me? 🙂
I realize that I’ve been sharing quite a bit of travel-inspired content lately – but let’s get real. While normally travel outfits are a little more fun to put together, we aren’t all traveling every week of the summer. In fact, I’m pretty sure you and I are BOTH at a desk right now working for the weekend. Let’s not get too swept up in our beach daydreams to forget that summer office outfits can be fun too!
Tired of wearing the same pants every day with the same boring top because you know they will just work? Yeah, total offender over here too – which is why I’ve teamed up with Express to come up with a fresh, summer office outfit idea!
Where do you guys get your work pants? Serious question that I’ve asked multiple times because I seriously hate work pants. But what if you found a pair of pants that didn’t seem like “work pants“? That’s how I feel about the skinny, nautical inspired pants from Express in today’s post. In fact, Express just came out with a few new pant styles that are anything but your typical work pants – think culottes and wide leg pant styles that are comfy and on-trend.
And with Express’ great selection of tops, there are tons of options when it comes to pairing your new pants with an on-trend blouse. I love these bright tanks worn under this white vest, and what about this fushcia ruffle top?
I’ve included more of my favorite Express picks to update your summer work wardrobe in the shop the post widget below + see more of this outfit in the full post!

We took a quick road trip up to North Louisiana this weekend for a friend’s wedding, and it reminded me how fun a little, short getaway can be – we packed so much stuff into just one Saturday! But with being in the car back and forth 4 hours each way, you want to make sure you are dressed for comfort but also ready to hit the ground running as soon as you get there. I’ve teamed up with Söfft (whose Somers slip on sneaker is the epitome of the perfect travel shoe) for today’s travel outfit perfect for road tripping on the weekend! I’ve worn them for both flying and long car rides, and they are travel tested and approved over here! Not to mention, they’re also just super cute to wear with the other outfits that you packed.
Other must-haves in today’s post are my distressed denim boyfriend shorts (you might remember this same pair from last summer) and my striped Sperry Topsider pullover. This hooded pullover can be worn as a swimsuit coverup as well! My Belmont cabin bag is one of my absolute favorites for overnight packing and is an especially spacious bag for road trips. AND I recently found these fun two-tone sunglasses for under $20!
