While in Palm Beach (see my travel recap here), we made sure to make a visit to Major Alley, the spot in today’s post with MAJOR (get it?) floral wall #goals. It’s a spot nestled right off of Peruvian – the same street from this post about packable vacation dresses. But instead of the slip dress, I’m talking about another summer dress trend to try now – the tie front dress.
The midi dress has always been a fave of mine, but it’s getting a little summer update with a twist – literally. I’ve been seeing a lot of these tie front styles lately, and they are adorable for vacation packing. This tie front dress is especially great because of the light material and no-fuss wearability. I found it for under$100 and wore it to dinner at Pizza al Fresco! (I figured that I might need the room for an extra slice!)
I’ve already raved about these heels over on Instagram (@apinchoflovely) because they are beyond comfortable! You can also see them in this recent post. See the ready-to-shop widget below for even more tie front styles!
Happy first day of May everyone! (How is it already May?!) There are so many fun things that I’m loving this month, and I’m excited to put together my May must-have list in today’s post! These are items that have been on my radar (and possibly in my shopping cart) that I think you guys will really love. I tried to keep it to items across every budget to make it accessible and attainable for everyone!
What are you guys loving this month? At the top of my list and in this outfit post are:
April Showers bring May flowers! And in this case, I’m talking the prettiest blooms on one of my favorite dress styles for spring – the maxi dress! I LOVE the long flowing silhouette of a maxi dress (especially the one in today’s post). With Mother’s Day around the corner and spring/summer weddings surely on your calendar, the maxi is the perfect choice. I’ve teamed up with Nordstrom to share my favorite floral maxi dresses in today’s post!
Reason #1,372 that I love Nordstrom – it’s the only place I need to go to find ANY sort of gift. You can literally find something for everyone – it even makes shopping for mom super easy! Haven’t found the perfect gift for Mother’s Day yet? No worries because I’ve teamed up with Nordstrom in today’s post to share some of my favorite Mother’s Day gift ideas!
I’ve rounded up gift options in different categories ranging from thoughtful and feminine to witty and playful. (I mean what mom doesn’t need a wine sweatshirt? I’m pretty sure each one of us have driven our mothers to a drink at some point.)
PS. A lot of these items are personal favorites of mine, so I’m not judging if you just want to pick some of them up for yourself too! Click through to the full post for descriptions of each item and why I like it!

Much like my shoe collection, I’ve realized recently that I’ve become a bit of a sunglasses hoarder. (You’ll see the hard evidence of that in the two photos below.) BUT that also means I’ve found quality brands that I continue to buy as well as new brands I’ve discovered for budget-friendly and on-trend styles. So with sunny days ahead, I figured what better time to share my thoughts on the best sunglasses brands for every budget! I hope this little recap will help if you’re looking for new sunnies this spring/summer, and I’d love to hear your favorite sites to discover new eyewear!

The best everyday styles – I always have at least one pair of Ray-Bans in my tote. They are lightweight and once you find the right size/shape for your face, they will be your favorite go-to sunnies. I lost my black aviators and immediately replaced them because I wear them so often!
My favorite when it comes to statement-making shades – and most of the frames are flattering on any face shape. They come in tons of colorful frames and lenses. The lower price point is great for experimenting with multiple styles.
If you love the Henri Bendel brand, odds are that you will also love their sunglasses. Same great quality and they don’t totally break the bank. Scoop some up during one of their sitewide sales for an even better price tag. (Full post on HB spring accessories here.)
Blogger favorite brand with iconic frame shapes that are universally flattering on the face. The Harvest, The One or Super Duper are investment pieces worth the splurge! There are a lot of dupe versions out there, but I still think the originals are the best looking.
I love the simple fact that Nordstrom shows how sunglasses fit the frame of a face. Mainly because I’ve ordered cheaper sunglasses before guesstimating how they will look on my face. Checking the face image for BP sunglasses is super helpful when it comes to ordering them and having an accurate expectation of a cheaper brand of frames.
It’s easy to scoop up multiple pair from this site for your next vacay to avoid the worry of losing an expensive pair. Of the 4 that I received, there was only one pair that was slightly smaller on my face than I would have normally bought. Good site for trendier frames that you wouldn’t ordinarily splurge on.
