You guys! I’ve been a little MIA over here on the blog. I almost feel like August was the calm before the fashion week storm that was my life last week. LOTS of fun things to share from New York, but I wanted to get this month started with part one of my Fall Wardrobe Checklist! I say “part one” because I’ve got a few more posts up my sleeve featuring must-have fall outfit pieces and how to wear them. Today’s picks are all available on Nordstrom. As you know it’s my favorite one-stop shop for a lot of my closet staples!

If there’s one thing that’s easy and affordable to stock up on – it’s camisoles. I love layering them underneath cardigans in the warmer parts of fall and under chunky knit sweaters when the temps dip.
Okay, I’ve been wearing this long waterfall cardigan everywhere! This was my go-to travel piece this past fashion week. It’s super light-weight and easy to wear on the plane – I’m always freezing on planes! Plus, it’s perfect for our non-fall weather down here in Louisiana too.
Did I really need to say this one? It’s kind of a no-brainer, but if you don’t have a staple pair of distressed jeans, now’s the time. There are SO many great versions out right now. They’ll also be a must if you want to try layering them with fish-net tights later in the winter – that trend will be sticking around this year!
I like to joke that backless shoes have made me lazy, but I’m really not joking. Ninety times out of one hundred I go for my mules first before I try on a pair of shoes that force me to lean down to tie or lace them. Especially when I’m in a hurry – which is all of the time because I’m always running late…
