My Favorite Drugstore Beauty Products Pt. 1

Today, I’m sharing a post that I’ve been wanting to write for a long time! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE getting lost in Sephora for hours, but I don’t splurge on every single item in my beauty regimen. Over the past few years, I’ve stumbled across some absolute favorites right in my drugstore or grocery aisle. These are great options when you’re in a pinch while traveling or trying to stay on your monthly budget. Check out my favorite drugstore beauty products in today’s full post!

I’ve discovered these brands and products in various ways. Some are products I’ve been loyal to since high school – that’s some serious product loyalty y’all. Others have been suggestions from friends/family that I ¬†ended up trying and loving. Sharing snippets about how I discovered each one and why you’ll love them below!

Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent

I cannot live without this product. I use this on a cotton round after washing my face every morning and night and really any time my face feels oily. You’ll be absolutely shocked to see how much makeup will still come off on the cotton round when using this after normal face wash. It takes a little getting used to because there is some tingling, but now I’m absolutely obsessed with it. I never travel anywhere without this and buy it three at a time.

Eva NYC Freshen Up Dry Shampoo

Self-proclaimed dry shampoo addict over here. Love that this brand recently introduced it’s dry shampoo into CVS. Smells amazing and gives your roots some volume while only using natural ingredients. Another great budget-friendly dry shampoo I love is Batiste, and it comes in multiple scent options.¬†

Jergens Natural Glow

Pale girl problems. I’ve used Jergens Natural Glow products since college as a subtle and gradual tanning solution. I also like to use this to prolong the life of my spray tans. Currently trying out the Wet Skin Moisturizer which blows my mind – IDK how it works, but it does! You apply it while your skin is still wet right after you shower.

Physicians Formula Conceal Rx

I can remember the exact year that I started using Physicians Formula Conceal Rx. It was 2007, and I was in Kentucky for an LSU away football game. It was a life-changing event. I had forgotten my concealer at home, so my friend let me borrow her Conceal Rx. It literally stayed on the entire day. Through tailgating, through the game, through the after-party. I’ve used it every since in the Natural Light shade. This is another one that I’ll buy multiples of so that I never run out.

Salon Grafix Freezing Hair Spray

I found this hairspray through my mom and grandmother! This is the only hairspray that will truly keep my curls lasting multiple days. (I’m almost convinced it’s spray glue.) I will say it does make your hair “crispy” – like it will not move around. Some people don’t like helmet hair, but it really works. I’ve even converted Haute Off the Rack who now uses it too. Note: I always get the Level 10 hold, but there are lower levels if you don’t like stiffness.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

I’ve used the mascara in the pink and green tube since the 8th grade! Great Lash mascara is the perfect brush shape for your lower lashes – and I only buy the original brush. I wear the Blackest Black in the non-waterproof. I normally have two bottles in my makeup bag at a time!

Pixi Peel and Polish Mask

This is a new favorite product for me that I received in the mail as a sample. I’ve tried other products claiming to be peels, but the Pixi Peel and Polish actually feels like an esthetician-grade peel. It tingles on your face, and once it’s time to rinse off you exfoliate with it like a scrub. Your skin is instantly plumper and it smells great. I’m obsessed with this one!

e.l.f cosmetics blush palette

I use multiple products from this line, but my current favorite is the blush and bronzer palette. I usually mix the two bottom blush colors to create the perfect rosy pink for summer. Now heading into fall, I’ll likely use the two shades on the left individually for a more jewel tone hue. I use this e.l.f. brush for this palette.

After I took these photos, I realized that I left a few things out because they were already packed for my trip to Aurora! So there will be a part two to this post including my favorite drug-store retinol, why you should use face razors, the best eyeliner for winged liner + more! I’ll also have a full post devoted to the Formula 10.0.6 next week!
