This post has been sponsored Hallmark. As always all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Part of the wonder of the holiday season is creating sentimental and whimsical traditions with our families. Over the years, Jordan and I have started a few new traditions of our own while also continuing those that we grew up enjoying. One of those family holiday traditions is Jordan refusing to let me put up our Christmas tree until the day after Thanksgiving. (Sigh, still losing this battle.) BUT, I have found a way to get around it by bringing the holidays home in other ways with Hallmark.
See why the Hallmark brand will always be one of my favorite family holiday traditions in today’s full post!
Keep Reading Family Holiday Traditions
My Mimi worked for Hallmark while I was growing up, and I have vivid memories of the Hallmark cards and ornament displays during the holidays. I can remember decorating my grandparents’ Christmas tree with intricate Hallmark ornaments that opened, blinked and even had moving parts. Pulling out those boxes from the attic was my absolute favorite holiday tradition, and my mission was to find the perfect spot on the tree for each ornament!
Receiving Hallmark ornaments also became one of our traditions as well. Every year, I would unwrap the special edition Barbie Hallmark ornament as one of my gifts. (Y’all I have every single one of them. Still a collector to this day – you’ll see some from previous years in this post.) And after Jordan and I got married, my Mimi gave me an entire box of Hallmark ornaments that she had saved from my birth year. Hanging those ornaments on our tree now is still my favorite thing to do!
So as you can imagine, the Hallmark brand is especially meaningful for me during the holidays. It’s a way for me to feel connected to my holiday family traditions as a child and the ones that I am creating now as an adult. This brand is a piece of my childhood, but the whimsy has never changed – it’s still just as magical after all these years!
That’s why I’m SO excited to share my Hallmark traditions in today’s post to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Hallmark’s colorful, patterned gift wrap! Hallmark INVENTED gift wrap you guys – isn’t that crazy?! I love using their wrapping paper and gift tags and seeing the new designs each year. Not only is Hallmark on our tree but under it too. 🙂

The gilded gold paper is reversible which allows you to have the perfect mix and match packages using the same roll of wrapping paper. This is also an easy way to incorporate a few of the original archived prints that Hallmark has re-released. I think my favorite archived print this year is the red and gold plaid pattern because it ties all of the red and gold packages together so well. And don’t forget about the finishing touches – I picked up some of the gold gift tags and the fancy bows to top things off!
I would LOVE to hear your own favorite holiday traditions – leave a comment below so that I can check them all out! Do you guys have a similar ornament exchange or gift wrap tradition?
