As, I’ve mentioned before, I’m normally not a fan of orange (sorry Hermes). I have to do it in small doses or it doesn’t look right with my skin tone. An easy way for me to get around this is wearing it in my accessories which is why I jumped at trying this orange bucket bag by Moda Luxe. Bucket bags are touted to be the it-bag for spring apparently, so I feel really on trend. 😉
This one is super cute for weekends with white jeans and absolutely perfect to wear with my awning stripe flats by Johnston and Murphy. These flats are one of the most comfortable pairs flats in my closet and also ones with the most personality. Plus, I’m a sucker for black and white stripes – that’s why they’re painted on the walls in our house.
Annnd I told you I’d be showing you how to wear a baseball tee in this post. I LOVE this style of shirt. I actually started my baseball tee collection about two years ago, and just picked up a gray one this past weekend from the J.Crew Factory outlet. They are so comfy and EASY to throw on with anything. There’s no thought required. They practically go with any bottom you have and look effortless.
Layer on some necklaces so you don’t look too sporty… I chose this dainty Loopsway necklace and a more bold piece like the bullet & quartz necklace by Bang Up Betty (made from real bullet casings and local quartz). Check out her Etsy shop HERE! And of course, I grabbed my mirror lens sunnies in yellow and orange – I can’t seem to go without these most days.
How are you wearing your baseball tees?
As promised, here is a little bit of detail from our engagement party in February. They were super modern in black and white with gold edged envelopes. As an added detail, I made them double-sided with a really fun 1920’s architectural pattern on the reverse side. Once they were inside the envelope, the pattern showed through for a fun preview of the invitation. I think that was definitely my favorite part of the entire thing, the finished outer envelope!
And because I’m always in a graphic design mindset, of course, we have a logo. It’s at the top of this invite and is also on our save the date, wedding website and part of our formal invitations… yes, we have a website too.
This is one of many (and first) of my printed projects I’ve been working on. I can’t wait to show you all of the other fun stuff that has been printed and is currently underway. It just works out that I can’t really show you until after it’s happened, so they will be coming a little belated!
Have you seen the Kendra Scott homepage slider image?!!!

Can you believe it’s about to be April?! I’m slightly freaking out – 2 months to go and still SO much wedding planning left to go… but be prepared for lots of fun wedding related posts over these next months. Even if you’re not prepping for your own wedding, I’ve gathered lots of brands and products you still might be interested in learning about.
My week in review… I’ve literally sat in my living room every night this week watching reality television while tracing and cutting out 300 envelope liners for my wedding invitations. Because that’s what I do – I think hey, I can easily do that project all by myself, and then I want to punch myself in the face. BUT y’all. They look SO good. I can’t wait to show you. There was an audible squeal when I saw everything together. What might be my life’s greatest invitation accomplishment is underway.
I also decided that I hate my rehearsal dinner dress or rather, I just hate it on me. So, if anyone is interested in fully sequined, blush French Connection dress – new with tags… let me know. Back to the drawing board on that one!
Anyway, happy weekend – it’s supposed to be a gorgeous one down here in South Louisiana. A lot going on too – Hogs for a Cause in NOLA, Zapp’s Beer Festival in Baton Rouge. Hope you get out and enjoy the much-awaited sunshine tomorrow! 🙂
