Whew, what a weekend! I want to give a huge, HUGE thanks to H&M (and the two Ashley’s) for giving me the opportunity to help host the H&M Nola grand opening on Saturday. Sometimes, it’s not until after the fact that you step back and think “Hey wait, I did that? That’s sort of awesome.” I cannot be more grateful and thankful for such an experience.
And yes, was it an experience – it was pure craziness. I never imagined so many people would show up to the store. After the VIP event on Friday night (Blake Lively and Emma Roberts were there!!), people literally camped out in front of the store until noon the next day. The steady stream of people, the lines to the fitting rooms and checkout counters were never-ending. I think it’s safe to say it was an amazingly successful day for the French Quarter’s newest retail spot.
Jenn and I were able to pull a few lucky shoppers out of the fitting room lines to take them to a reserved dressing room where we gave them outfit advice and helped them put together new outfits. And you know that hashtag I’d been using all week on Instagram – #HMLovesNola? That was the secret discount code that we gave stylish shoppers to get an additional 20% off their entire order!
You’ll start seeing lots of H&M in some upcoming outfit posts including a pair of plaid pants I’m seriously obsessing over! And stay tuned because December already some amazing events on the calendar as well. 🙂

Here’s my third and final way to wear this great Warehouse cargo skirt! The most casual and comfy way out of the three. By now you should know that I love mixing browns with black, so it’s no surprise that I would spring for brown booties to go with this graphic striped sweater – which I love. I’ve worn it with my new paneled leggings as well. (You’ll be seeing those soon.)
