APoL headquarters My house is over on Style My Pretty Living right now! I’ve been keeping it under wraps, but Angela from Angela Marie Events (my wedding planner!) and I had been dreaming up this pretty, Kate Spade-inspired holiday party. And then one Sunday afternoon, Angela transformed my house into a holiday wonderland, seriously. Jordan peeked out at us a couple of times with a bewildered face. The end result was so fabulous that SMP promptly scooped up the photos that Lacey Rabalais took and featured the entire thing on their site! (EEEK!) See the entire gallery, details and credits over on Style Me Pretty Living!
Thank you, thank you to everyone who was involved in this fun day! And if you’re looking for some ways to dress up your home for the holidays, here are some picks just for you:
Last night, I was so fortunate to be invited to attend the grand opening celebration of Tiffany and Co. New Orleans. From the gorgeous invitation mailed from their New York headquarters down to the extravagant thank you gift (each guest received a necklace from the Atlas collection!), every single detail was absolutely fantastic. Guests sipped on Veuve Cliquot or a specialty wine punch as butler passed apps were served – including the most delicious mini desserts. Y’all, Tiffany’s knows how to throw a party.
Inside the store, guests were able to shop the three different rooms of jewelry cases and their new leather goods collection. Next time you’re in Canal Place, make sure to check out this new staple location or even drop some hints to your significant other right before the holidays… 😉
Thank you, thank you to Tiffany’s for including me in last night’s gorgeous event!
* P.S. That’s not weird lighting on my head – I’m really a ginger now!
Hopefully, you’ve gotten to check out this month’s Southern Living and have gotten to see my “What To Wear To” feature! This was such a fun and exciting (and very secret) project that I was working on back in August with SL. (Yep, like four months ago – see my still long hair? It was actually a million degrees outside when we took the photos.)
It was my first shoot with a major, national publication, so it was fun to see how these types of shoots happen. They had a collection of beautiful dresses, a table full of accessories and a floor lined with shoes for me to mix and match. One of the editors and I had a little trial run the night before as I pieced three potential outfits together, and the end result was my absolute favorite.
The red Tracy Reese dress was an easy choice to make – the lines of it were classic and fit SL perfectly. To put my own spin on it, I paired it with unexpected accessories like this Loren Hope necklace and Nine West heels. In fact, all three of my outfit choices included these heels – they actually just became available on the NW website. When I wore them in August, they were only samples.
Love the look? I’ve rounded up the pieces and similar ones!
Thanks to Southern Living, Cedric Angeles and Angela Marie Events for all of their hard work at the shoot!
