Picking up from my previous post on road tripping through Tuscany, our final destination was Greve in Chianti. This idyllic Italian town is nestled right down the hill from the villa where we stayed and is so incredibly charming! (And when I say right down the hill, I mean, you can walk down, but climbing back up the hill would be quite the effort!) Driving down to the main square was the mode we opted for, and parking in the pubic lot was an easy walk to the center of town.
All within a short expanse of the town square, businesses are connected through quaint alleyways. Our favorite spots that we discovered include a grocery store ($4 bottles of wine!), floral shop, movie theater and many delicious spots to eat. Get the details on our favorite spots for food and wine in Greve in Chianti in today’s post!
If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that I’d be driving cross-country Italian style through the hills of Tuscany, I’d have fallen over laughing! Me behind the wheel of a car in a foreign country? HA! But turns out, I actually did it. In fact, I drove from Rome to Tuscany and from Tuscany to Venice all by myself. (Okay I had some navigational help while Jordan played backseat driver… but no matter.) I’m sharing everything we learned out on the roads + several tips to planning an Italian road trip (including our favorite restaurant side stop)!
I’m excited to start recapping our Italy trip and all of the tips and tricks we learned along the way! Over the course of 11 days, we explored Rome, Tuscany, Florence and Venice – all of them unique and completely breathtaking! (So much inspiring history, you guys!) To get started, I’m talking about the first stop in our week-long Italy trip – 24 hours in Rome, The Eternal City!
The catch to flying into Rome was that we only had one day to spend there before heading out to Tuscany the very next morning. So, we came up with a list of our must-see spots and tailored our itinerary accordingly in order to make the best of our short time there. Sharing our experience in today’s post in case you are looking for Rome travel tips and itinerary ideas.
In a recent email interview, I was sent a list of questions including one in particular that really made me stop and think. “How would you describe your personal style in three words?” I mean, it’s a pretty straight-forward question that had me scratching my head. What the heck IS my personal style? Shouldn’t I know the answer to this?I’m sharing how I came up with my three words and how I found my own personal style through blogging in today’s full post. Keep reading for tips on identifying your personal style too!
I picked this Banana Republic outfit specifically to wear for this post, because it completely embodies my own personal style. See why in the full post!
