Here are some of the photos from Saturday’s Shop Your City event. I was finally able to check out Andi’s Hazel and Florange location as we stopped by there first. Racks of vintage and Andi’s own designs sat in the most quaint and lovely corner of the room. Guests noshed on macaroons and sipped on champs. Julia of Gal Meets Glam was there to pick out her favorite items and greet shoppers. We chatted about my jealousy of her San Francisco layering weather and her recent vacay to Hawaii. Such a sweet girl with amazing style, so make sure to check her out.
Our next stop was Haute on Magazine Street to see Liz of Sequins and Stripes and Mackenzie of Design Darling where we
ate more desserts got to sit down and pick these ladies’ brains. We discussed the special friendships they’ve made with other bloggers and how they normally handle in-store events in their respective cities. Super disappointed that we didn’t get to stay longer with these girls, but it was time for us to head to the next stop.
We also went by Hattie Sparks to check out the trunk show by Camilyn Beth who also showed her spring collection in NOLAFW the very next night, but more on that coming up soon!
A few snaps from the Avenue Rouge set where Jenn and I hosted the live coverage of the event.
Okay, so first of all – I have to say that I am not comfortable at all with seeing or hearing myself on video camera. I will probably never be able to bring myself to watch the two sets of video from Thursday night, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who streamed the footage and watched the event live and even afterwards too. All your positive feedback helped my anxiety significantly…
It was a really positive learning experience in that I was forced out of my comfort zone (and had to improv without sounding like a fool). It’s an area where I’d definitely like to improve, and this was the perfect opportunity to help me start doing that. So thanks to 225 Magazine and InRegister for giving me that chance!
I also need to thank Abi Ferrin for the fantastic dress that I was wearing, Rigsby Frederick for my hair and Ashley Sievert Beauty for my makeup application. Lots of help went towards getting me camera ready, so even if I sounded terrible, I at least looked the part. 🙂
I haven’t been able to get my hands on any of the photos of the actual show yet, but if I can, I’ll be posting those later this week for you!
