My first day in Newport Beach was just absolutely beautiful, so I couldn’t resist breaking out my new polka dot dress from Nasty Gal. (I’m swooning over so many new arrivals on the Nasty Gal site right now!) I’m a big fan of drop-waist dresses and this one’s pattern is girly and super flattering.
However, it was a bit windy and colder in the shade, so I topped it off with a denim jacket. (I just recently added this jacket into my wardrobe, believe it or not, and, I can’t live without it now!) A few of you will really feel me on this one – my legs are transparent really pale right now, so I opted for gladiator sandals in attempt to distract from the paleness. Did it work?

I had been looking for a pink crossbody bag until I found the Logan wristlet by Botkier. It’s actually convertible with a wristlet strap and a detachable shoulder strap. Plus, the size is just perfect for a travel outfit like this one. Typically in the spring and summer months, I reach for smaller bags in bright colors, especially when I know I’ll be on my feet. This one fits the bill for all my warm weather activities – plus it’s just SO cute!
Can you tell from these past two days of outfits, that I love pink?! I knew I had to find the perfect shade of pink to match my new bag, so I looked to Urban Decay lipstick colors for the right one. This particular day, we had set up time to visit the UD headquarters and had the opportunity to pillage and plunder visit the makeup closet. I immediately went for the lip section where I found their Revolution lipstick in the color Anarchy. This was the first time I really tried out the UD lipsticks because I’m really picky about them – I’m mostly a gloss girl. When I do wear lipstick, it has to be long-wear, and it can’t bleed around the lips. Y’all. Throughout the day, I kept looking in the mirror saying that I couldn’t believe it was still on. Through lunch, through wine, everything! Truly recommend trying it even if it’s just a sample at Sephora or Nordstrom!
