I’m SO behind tonight. I really wanted to get this up earlier, but I had to run some errands after work, Jordan’s mom brought us crawfish bisque for dinner (yum!), I have to finish packing, I have photos to edit, I really need to put on some self-tanner… tmi? Okay but really you guys, I am sharing this SUPER cute and versatile LBD by Yumi Kim in today’s post. How is a dress versatile you ask? Well, this dress has convertible ruffles – how many dresses do you have that offer convertible ruffles?
(I may be completely loopy at this point of the day.)
Not to mention, you never know how much you truly need a little black dress until you don’t have one!
You can literally wear the ruffles off the shoulder or on your shoulder – which I admit, I did not figure out until after I wore it and took the photos in today’s post (blonde moment). Are you on the struggle bus not knowing what to wear to that wedding next weekend – or on the fence deciding whether to go to that cocktail party with coworkers – or trying to find a dress for a bachelorette party? Yep, this little black dress can be worn to all three with ease. And the cut and shape are so so cute. It cinches you at the waist and the scuba material holds you in nice and tight. And then the ruffle hem makes you want to twirl in your heels. So adorable that I wanted to put together a full post on it!

Plus, I added three similar purses in the links as well!
Love is in the air you guys, and I’m going to take a wild guess here and say that you are most likely going to be a wedding guest at least once this spring? I am SO looking forward to all of the upcoming wedding festivities this season including my first spring wedding this weekend in New Orleans! Knowing that I have a few weddings in the months ahead, I have been scouting out some beautiful wedding guest dress options for you guys and landed on this completely amazing floral dress from ModCloth.
I can always count on ModCloth when it comes to special occasion dresses because of their affinity for pretty floral patterns and the ultra-feminine dress styles that they carry. Their online site carries so many swoon-worthy pieces right now at very approachable prices. Whether you are a glam girl all of the time or someone who just likes a little playful pattern every now and then, there’s always something that will suit your style! (I also kinda love the home and gifts section too.)
Maggy London has just launched it’s MUSE Collection exclusively on their website, and I am SO pumped to be one of the bloggers asked to be a part of this project! It’s a capsule collection of 4 dresses styled by 8 bloggers who put their own spin on the piece that embodies their personal style the most. The other bloggers participating were a secret to me until this morning – and I’m really excited to see some familiar faces of friends and ladies that I love to follow.
I am wearing the Kenzie Scissor sheath dress in a brilliant turquoise. The color originally drew me to this dress, but then again, I also love its cap sleeves and paneled skirt. The silhouette has a very classic and sophisticated feel to it, so I paired it with accessories that have a lot of fun details for a fun twist. But worn with classic nude pumps and a structured bag, THIS would be the perfect Easter dress, am I right? Date night, Sunday best, wedding guest dress – wear this dress to all of your upcoming spring social events!
Happy Monday you guys. We all survived the first week of 2016 and the overwhelming pressure to come up with some really insightful resolutions… still working on finalizing my list of things to improve and achieve this year – more on that tomorrow though!
But in the meantime, I’m still achieving success when it comes to finding plaids that I love. This little plaid swing dress has an oversized checkered pattern (reminds me of those huge checker boards at Cracker Barrel) and a jeweled neckline that is such gorgeous detail. I had the inkling that paired with a set of black OTK boots, it would be a knockout, and I’m pretty certain you guys would agree. Super cute right? My Kate Spade Emerson bag was a Black Friday score – I had to pick between the black and the mousse, and well, I just fell in love with this blush/greige shade.
