Just in time for my trip to Charleston today, I’m sharing my travel bucket list for 2017! (Ps. Who books a flight with a layover in Houston on Super Bowl Sunday when the game is in Houston? I digress.) I’ve also teamed up with Jenn from Haute Off the Rack and Sofft Shoes to give away the perfect travel shoe later today, the Somers slip-on sneaker! I love this shoe so much that have it in both last year’s tan and this year’s pretty blush color – also seen in this slip-on sneaker post!
Look out for a special giveaway Instagram post tonight at 8 p.m. CST for instructions on how to enter to win a pair of Somers for you and your bestie!
I’ve been so fortunate to have such travel flexibility the past few years, and it’s been one of my favorite parts of this blogging adventure. As a content creator, I find so much inspiration in the places that I visit, and creating content around cities with rich history always keeps me motivated. I thought it would be fun to make a list of all of the places that I’d like to travel to this year and why. (Some of these are already scheduled trips and some I’m hoping to make official.) Would love to hear your must-see places and what is on your travel bucket list for this year!

I guess I can officially take this one off of the list as of today! Being from the South, it’s kind of surprising how many major cities in the South that I’ve never visited before! Charleston has always been at the top of my list for it’s rainbow colored buildings, rich history and – hello amazing foodie culture. We have some amazing restaurants picked for this trip, that I’m so excited about sharing more of soon!
I’m not a huge country music fan (although I was when I was younger), but I would absolutely love to make it to Nashville this year and experience the music scene there. I’m keeping my eye on the summer music festival and concert schedules to see if Jordan can go with me – there’s no way I could go to Nashville without him. HUGE country music husband you guys.
San Francisco has been on my list for YEARS. Ever since Jordan and I drove up the Pacific Coast Highway from San Diego to Los Angeles, I’ve always wanted to make it further up the west coast. It definitely helps that there’s a baseball team there, so I’m hoping he can go with me later this fall when baseball season starts back up again. A two-day trip to wine country wouldn’t be a bad idea either…
We have already talked about going back to Cape Cod this summer. We fell in love with the Cape and Nantucket during last year’s 4th of July trip, and we are itching to go back again. I’d love to actually stay in Nantucket this time around and make a ferry visit to Martha’s Vineyard.
Tuscany, Venice, Cinque Terre
Okay, so we are talking major bucket list item here. I’m about 99% sure that I’ll be visiting Tuscany, Venice and Cinque Terre this summer! A week long Italy trip is on the books right now, all I need to do is book my flight to make it official. I haven’t been abroad since our honeymoon to Greece in 2014, so I’m SO excited about this one!
This is sort of nerdy, but I really want to attend SXSW – not for the musical weekend but for the conference weekend. There are some major tech, social media and digital marketing speakers that I’d love to hear, and not to mention, I’d love to explore Austin a little more. (Last time I was there, I wasn’t of drinking age, haha.) Keeping my fingers crossed on this one, since I also have another conference scheduled for the end of April.
Where do you guys want to go this year? I’d love to get some suggestions if you have any for these locations!
