Our Louisiana winter can be a little unpredictable – last year it was 80 degrees on Christmas! But this year, we’ve had a pretty consistent cool front making it actually feel like December! However, it’s still nothing close to say… Philadelphia and New York, where we will be heading for actual Christmas this year! Luckily, Nordstrom has a selection of winter clothing options that work for Louisiana winter and our snowy Christmas plans! I’m already planning what to pack like my Ugg boots and cozy thermal socks. Keep reading to see my full winter to-do list!
Keep Reading My Winter To-Do List
Breathe in the Fresh Smell of Christmas Trees
I can cross this one off my list! Because of my sinus/allergies, we put up a fake Christmas tree. So I go to walk through and smell the Christmas trees at least once every year. This year it was actually cold when I went, so I finally got to wear this comfy gray poncho!
Have a Cookie Decorating Party
We had a sugar cookie decorating party a long time ago, and it was SO fun seeing how everyone’s cookies came out. And the best part of course, we got to eat them afterwards.
Find the Perfect Fuzzy Slippers
One of my favorite winter guilty pleasures is finding a new pair of fuzzy slippers. I have my eye on these Ugg slippers that come in three colors!
Come up with a New Hot Chocolate Recipe
Last week, I started setting up the ultimate spiked hot chocolate bar and will be sharing a few recipes and tips from you guys that sent them over to me on Instagram!
Catch a Snowflake on My Tongue
With Philly and New York on our end-of-the-year travel plans, I’m sure I’ll be able to catch more than one! I’ll probably regret this being on my list when I’m sitting in an outdoor football stadium at the Eagles game.
Go Ice Skating
This one is dangerous, because I’m really terrible at ice skating. So I’m hoping Jordan will just drag me around the rink behind him, so that I don’t break a leg. (I’ll make sure to dress like a skating pro though in these shiny Koral leggings.)
Cozy up in Front of the Fireplace
We don’t have enough opportunities to turn on our fireplace at home, so at least once, I’d love to snuggle up in front of a real fire with a hot cup of cocoa and maybe this SUPER cozy robe.
Hit Jordan with a Snowball
I mean, I couldn’t NOT have this one on the list, hahaha.
What do you have on your winter to-do list? I’d love to hear and see what I should add to my own list!
