bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Review!

As you might have seen on Instagram (@apinchoflovely), I’ve been testing out the new bareMinerals tinted moisturizer cream, Complexion Rescue. I’ve always had skin that I consider fairly moisturized especially with the help of Louisiana humidity. But this winter, my face turned super dry as a result of both the cold air and products I’ve been using to battle potential sunspots (more on that soon). When Complexion Rescue arrived, I couldn’t have been more relieved to give it a spin!

I have been using Complexion Rescue for a little over 2 weeks now and can tell you that my skin moisture has improved. I’ve been mixing it with my retinol morning cream and there has been no issue using one in conjunction with the other which is super important to me. Also important to me is that this product is an SPF 30 moisturizer. While my retinol cream has SPF 15, my esthetician recently advised me to start using an SPF that is at least 30 SPF every single morning. So adding Complexion Rescue into my morning routine is one that she will also be happy about too.

There is no major coverage with this tinted cream, so I wouldn’t advise this as an alternative to foundation. I don’t normally wear full-coverage foundation on a daily basis though, and I don’t find that using Complexion Rescue feels like an added “layer” on my face. In fact, I think it helps my powder adhere to my face a little better than before. Additional moisture, SPF (without the SPF feel!), and makeup staying power all in one product – I can honestly say that Complexion Rescue has been a great addition to my makeup routine. For color reference, I use the product in Vanilla.

Also great additions to my routine are these neutral palettes! Y’all, I’ve been a religious follower of the Urban Decay Naked2 Basics palette, so I LOVE these new neutrals from bareMinerals! The Posh Neutrals and the Sexy Neutrals work best for my hair and skin colors. I don’t go too crazy with my eyecolors, so these colors are PERFECT for me. I can’t say enough about them – really!

Although product was gifted, this post was not sponsored by bareMinerals and all thoughts and opinions are my own!
