Target Beauty On A Budget | Formula 10.0.6

You guys know that I love a good face mask (read my previous face mask review here), but sometimes those masks can cost a pretty penny! I realized after writing my last mask post that most of them were $30 and over, so I wanted to scout out some budget-friendly options that can be just as indulgent and beneficial. I discovered Formula 10.0.6 at Target, and it’s the perfect fit for anyone looking for beauty on a budget. Every single product is under $10 y’all – meaning you can try as many as you want without breaking the bank! I’m recapping my favorite Formula 10.0.6 masks in today’s full post.

Plus, if there’s anything I love more than a face mask… it’s a good Target binge on the weekends!

BEST Beauty Products On Sale | Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

When it comes to the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I always go for the shoes first because those really fly off the shelves (and internet) first. But once I’ve secured all the closet essentials, I settle in and REALLY enjoy clicking through the beauty products on sale.

I’m a bit of a product hoarder, and once I find my favorites, I tend to be a loyal fan. SO many of my favorites are included in the Nordstrom Sale this year. To prove it, I literally whipped out all of my products at home for this post – I even forgot to include some bc they were packed for the beach already (T3 hair dryer). No collage for this post – these are real deal personal favorites that I use on a normal basis!

I’ve talked a lot about Supergoop in previous posts – it’s a personal favorite of mine. LOVE their setting spray and – their CC Cream is one thing I swear by.

    NeuLash + NeuBrow

I’ve tried both the lash serum and brow serum and can assure you that with normal use, these products really work. Definitely worth bundling up for the BOGO price during the sale period.

    Caviar Haircare

I love trying new shampoo and conditioner brands. Currently using this one and have both full-size bottles packed up for the beach!

    Lancome Eyelash Primer + Mascara

I use the Lancome Cils Booster lash primer before applying mascara. I prefer the smaller sample/travel size because the shorter length gives you more control.

    Living Proof Products

Always have been a fan of Living Proof – love the way their products smell. I use the anti-frizz oil – with Louisiana humidity, I need all the help I can get!

    Laura Mercier

Obsessed with Laura Mercier. I’ve mentioned the setting powder numerous times, but I’m also loving the new foundation primer.

    Illuminage Mirror

Just got this mirror in a press package and am excited to start using it at my vanity!

    Me Products

I basically have the entire Me product line. (Insert monkey emoji covering his eyes.) I did an entire post last year on the blue light blemish device. I also have the silk eye mask and pillowcases. I JUST snagged the hair removal device!

    Aveda Favorites

You can see my full post on my Aveda favorites here. Not only do they smell amazing, they’re natural and REALLY work. Aveda travel sizes are always on hand in my suitcase.

Murad is a pretty new brand for me, but I’m currently trying out their oil diminishing mask. Sounds like a much-needed product for southern summers! Have heard great things about a few of the other products too.

    ARCONA Beauty

I discovered ARCONA Beauty last September at fashion week. I started out using the Triad Toner Pads which are a cult favorite!

Brow 101 | Eyebrow Before and After

Brows are indisputably the biggest beauty trend for 2017, and microblading has become THE treatment to try. But, I’ll tell you the reasons why I’m NOT microblading and what I am doing instead in today’s post. I’m including my eyebrow before and after – as well as what I learned at my brow consultation at HiBrow Beauty Bar!

To understand why I’m not considering microblading, we need to go back to my high school days. Those were the days of the skinny brow and my obsessive compulsive relationship with the tweezers. I could have literally titled this post “Lessons In Over-Plucking,” but I digress. When I look in the mirror today, I see sparse, assymmetric brows that are the direct result of my teenage plucking sprees. And compared to photos of my pre-plucked brows, it’s really quite tragic.

So you must be thinking – this is exactly why one should get microblading – to fill those spaces semi-permanently. BUT that’s exactly why I’ve decided against it. I narrowly escaped one eyebrow trend in my lifetime! I am lucky to still have the brows that I have left. So yes, I am being super cautious and overly-protective of my eyebrows during this second wave of brow popularity. And just to be sure, I met with Lauren Prats, the owner of HiBrow New Orleans to get a professional’s perspective on the situation. See what I learned in today’s full post!

My Favorite Aveda Products | Eco-Friendly Beauty

I’ve mentioned Aveda products here and there in my Friday Favorites posts before. BUT it’s quickly become one of my can’t-live-without brands. Not only is it eco-friendly, it also strives to use all-natural ingredients which I love. So, it only makes sense for me to round up my favorite Aveda products that are currently in my beauty arsenal – get ready there are quite a few!

I also frequently visit the Paris Parker Aveda location for everything from highlights + lowlights and spa services. If you have an Aveda location in your area, I’d highly suggest trying one of their facials! I made a facial appointment recently when I had a round of hormonal breakouts, and it was a major lifesaver in clearing it up! Talk to them about your skincare concerns, and they will come up with a facial to fit your skin needs.

And since I already have talked about their chakra essential oils, the massage services are a no-brainer favorite for me too! I love their use of essential oils as a combination to the massage therapy. Ps. Baton Rouge peeps – the Paris Parker spa area is getting a major update and renovation soon to enhance the spa services even more!
