A special thanks to the Renaissance Hotel in Baton Rouge for allowing me to use their beautiful hotel grounds as today’s photoshoot backdrop. And speaking of summer nights out, the Renaissance will be hosting “Girls Night Out” events all summer long with local (and female) entrepreneurs. To get more info on dates and times, check out the Renaissance on Facebook!

As you may already know, I’ve got a big trip coming up – my honeymoon to Greece! I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect travel-ready outfits and have gotten pretty much everything that I’ll need. I’m making sure to pack accordingly for travel days, days out exploring, days out relaxing – and one category I didn’t want to overlook is date night. It’s probably been one of the most fun parts of planning my trip outfits so far. I get to take out all of the worrying about comfortable shoes and what sort of comfortable purse to wear and really get to focus on feeling pretty in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

One of the first pieces I picked was this bright and colorful Nha Khanh dress from Neiman Marcus. It gives the illusion of a crop top and skirt – but there’s really mesh paneling between the two. You get a better idea when you see the back part of this amazing dress. The print is vibrant and feminine and goes great with a metallic heel like these silver ankle straps. And once again, the style is a fit and flare which is my go-to dress silhouette. Since Santorini is known for it’s white wines, I can’t wait to wear this dress to maybe a wine tasting dinner or at a restaurant that overlooks the sunsets in Oia where we’ll be staying.

Neiman Marcus is a great source to look for vacation outfits like this because of the huge selection of top-notch brands. For a special vacation like my honeymoon, I’m definitely looking for those one-of-a-kind pieces to wear on my trip that I’ll remember forever. You’ll have to check back to see what else is going in my bag, but here are a few other Neiman Marcus items that I’ve been eyeing for the trip as well!

I’m on the Snoball & Donut Diet

both tees/coverups c/o The Elizabeth Chronicles

    donut float / heart sunglasses

    photos by Kaela Rodehorst Photography

Haute Off the Rack and I are kicking off our summery style series with a bit of flamingo and donut antics. Sometimes, I wish our shoots together were videoed… leaping around with inflatables and yard decorations can make for some serious entertainment. But how CUTE are these summer tees from The Elizabeth Chronicles? The snoball diet tee is always a favorite, and their new pink pineapple top is sure to be just as popular. These TEC tees are full of personality and make me want to grab a fruity drink, plop right onto the beach and not move for days.

Check out the rest of the TEC summer tee collection HERE.

AND look forward to many more beachy looks that Jenn and I have coordinated to get you guys vacation ready!

    Bachelorette Boxes DIY

This past weekend was my bachelorette party in Vegas! Nothing like a good girls trip to relieve some of the wedding planning stress. Gathering up some bachelorette essentials is one way to kick your party off on the right foot. Here are a couple things to consider when packing goodies for your favorite girls:

    • Cute sleep masks to catch those much-needed extra Z’s on the flight

    • Snacks and water – no one wants to rack up a huge mini bar bill for those $9 potato chips

    • 5-hour energy to help prevent anyone from fading too early in the night

    • Matching accessories like colored bracelets, koozies or sunnies for something to identify the group

    • Not pictured but very essential: Advil!

Little gift boxes like these folding dessert boxes are ideal for travel because they come flat and fold up once you need to add contents – meaning they’ll take up less room in your suitcase. Decorate them with metallic letters or ribbon. In this case, the eye mask elastic kept the boxes wrapped up tight!

    What’s In My Vegas Bag?

Ivanka Trump bag c/o / Nine West flats c/o / Silvano sunglasses c/o

Kleenex travel packs / Betsy Pittard Designs necklaces c/o / bareMinerals makeup c/o

tarte mascara / Tan Towels / Dr. Gross Alpha Beta glow pads

    Antebellum Baubles bracelets c/o / Smith’s Lip Balm c/o

Viva Las Vegas – I’m off to Sin City for my bachelorette party and one much-needed vacay! But before I lift off, I wanted to share with you a little bit of what I’m packing for the trip:

Traveling with Kleenex always, always a good idea. For someone with mad allergies like myself, a plane full of germs  + switching to a serious, dry climate like Nevada makes my head go crazy. Bottom line, I’m always in need of a tissue – and I do not want to use the super thin, scratchy bathroom tissue in the airport/plane. Plus these mini travel packs are SO cute. Betcha didn’t know that Kleenex recently teamed up with Isaac Mizrahi on new tissue box designsmore on that in a post coming up soon.

Lip products are always a must to have on hand. I am a lip balm, lipstick and chapstick addict, so I like to keep different options quickly within reach. The new bareMinerals bareSkin foundation is one of my new favorite products too. Super light and fresh coverage make it perfect for a travel day.

Tan Towels and glow pads are self explanatory – pool days call for a (safe, UV-free) tan. Don’t forget a good pair of sunnies and flats for the pool too! I love these matching Silvano sunglasses and Nine West slip-on flats. And of course, I’m packing a ton of jewelry to stack on. Big baubles and neon are making the jewelry bag for this trip.

These are just a couple of photos, but I can’t wait to show you more real soon. In the meantime, make sure to check out all the fun on Instagram (@KrystalBennett)!

Thanks to Kleenex for sponsoring today’s on-the-go travel post!

    A Pinch of Paris – Part 1

I’m so so excited to start sharing some of my hundreds of many photos from my Paris trip. I’m going to begin with our day adventures and then finish with a final post about all the places we ventured at night.

Our first full day was a pretty exciting one filled with all the typical toursity-type things one would expect – including figuring out the metro system which by the way was easier than you’d think. We spent the morning and afternoon in the 1st arrondissement. The area around the Louvre is really breathtaking as far as views – the architecture, shops and Jardin des Tuileries all within walking distance from the museum.

Like I mentioned before, you can’t go to Paris without going to the Louvre – if you don’t like art then why are you in Paris anyway? There are museums literally everywhere you go! We headed towards the Mona Lisa first because seeing the spectacle around her is actually more interesting than seeing the painting. People are seriously swarming the glass encasement trying to get a photo of this thing. Did I push and shove wait patiently to get to the front for my Mona Lisa photo? Yes, of course I did. Give yourself a lot of time to go through the museum – perhaps an entire day.

We also shopped along Rue Saint- Honore as we made our way to Rue Cambon where the first Chanel store resides. There was a line just to get inside the doors! Oh and be prepared for lines… there are lots of lines in Paris. If you stick around this area, look for Angelina, a cafe that somehow eluded us even though we asked probably 5 people for its location. Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn frequented it for it’s famous hot chocolate.

We walked along the river side of the Louvre to get to the Love Lock Bridge. Don’t worry if you don’t have a lock because there are people selling them around on the streets. (They are equipped with Sharpies too.) The locks are supposed to symbolize protecting love, but we can do it for friendship too, right? So we locked it on there and threw the key into the Seine – making us BFF official.

By this time we needed to head back to our hotel and get ready for dinner, but at some point we did stop for lunch at a little bistro near the Museum D’Orsay (across the Seine from the Louvre). The first of many bread baskets we devoured. Almost all of the bistros have spicy mustard on the table for the bread. Try it! It’s fantastic and better for you than butter…

Check back for Day 2 soon!
