I love getting emails from you guys asking about New Orleans. Not only is it one of my favorite places to visit (only a one hour drive away), but it’s also one of my favorite places to talk about especially when it comes to suggestions or recommendations. So when DSW asked me to share some spring looks inspired by one of my favorite places New Orleans, I immediately started putting together outfits to get you through the French Quarter, beignet snacking, City Park strolling and more!
I’ve been wanting to recap this trip for a while now, but it always seemed so daunting because it was the type of experience you can’t even put into words. (I’m still pinching myself!) I was whisked away on a private NetJets plane to sunny Palm Beach for my first International Polo experience and weekend stay with the Four Seasons Palm Beach. It was a trip with many firsts and new friendships (Becky, Amy, Mackenzie and Amy) and more importantly my newfound love for polo – and private jets!
I had the most unbelievable time in Mexico last week! We arrived for the first half of the trip for Jenn’s Cabo wedding, and even though Jordan had to go home, I extended my stay! My sister came and met me for a sister getaway at the Cabo all-inclusive resort, Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. This is only my second time staying at an all-inclusive – not counting my cruise experience which is kinda the same… but not really.
I wanted to go over the details of our stay in the Towers at Pacifica because I had SO much content happening over on IG Stories. There are a lot of highlights that I want to share especially if you’re thinking about a Cabo vacation in your future.
What I love about New Orleans is that I discover something new every time I go. And while most of my visits involve trying out a new restaurant, a few weeks ago I got to stay at Le Pavillion Hotel for the first time! It’s hard to miss driving down Poydras Street with it’s grandiose covered entrance with marble statues and vine walls, but I had never gotten to step inside. What I discovered was quintessential New Orleans charm and a lot of reasons to stay at Le Pavillion!
Like I mentioned in my fall to-do list post, getting outdoorsy was one way that I wanted to embrace the season. And I think it’s pretty safe that between Stowe and Savannah, I accomplished just that. Figuring out what to wear for fall outdoor activities was a fun little project for me too though! (Seeing as how I’m not an outdoor type at all.) This outfit that I wore in Forsyth Park includes some of my favorite pieces for braving the outdoors including my new Sofft Baywood booties.
