Lately, I can’t stop talking about fall and all my favorite trends (here), but with the season officially kicking off on Saturday, I thought it’d be the perfect time to celebrate by sharing the best fall hero pieces to shop now. With the right hero pieces, you’ll have an endless array of outfits to wear from cool mornings at the office to weekend trips at the mountains. I’m excited to be partnering with Marks & Spencer again to share the exact fall hero pieces you’ll need and wear throughout the season. You guys know I’m all about versatility so take note because these pieces could translate into staples for building up a strong cold weather wardrobe.
The humidity in the south has been so painful and seems to show no signs of cooling down anytime soon. As I walk from place to place in the city, heated and exhausted, my mind cannot help but wander to a few weeks ahead when autumn is in full force. It is one of my favorite seasons, especially when it comes to fashion. And while fashion has the tendency to come and go, this year’s fall trends have strong staying power! They are full of so many vintage but fresh influences which I cannot wait to wear. So if you’re in need of key transitional pieces to make the switch from summer to fall easier, I’ve partnered with Marks & Spencer to share the fall trends I’m super obsessed with right now.

I made sure to take full advantage of fall outfit layers during my recent Savannah trip. I was initially afraid that it might be a similar southern “fall” that we have in Louisiana. But, the first day we arrived, we were greeted with 40 degree temps! This girl was excited to whip out some of her new Henri Bendel pieces including these easy outerwear options in today’s post!
Ps. Remember this outerwear post with Henri Bendel last winter?

About a month ago, we were invited to an event that was business attire, and I had the most difficult time deciding what to wear. I knew most of the people attending were from law firms and political groups, and here I was a work-from-home fashion blogger… Not exactly the closet full of workwear options, right? But a light bulb went off, and I reached for a classic pantsuit that I’ve had for YEARS.

Like I mentioned in my fall to-do list post, getting outdoorsy was one way that I wanted to embrace the season. And I think it’s pretty safe that between Stowe and Savannah, I accomplished just that. Figuring out what to wear for fall outdoor activities was a fun little project for me too though! (Seeing as how I’m not an outdoor type at all.) This outfit that I wore in Forsyth Park includes some of my favorite pieces for braving the outdoors including my new Sofft Baywood booties.
Ps. See my last post featuring Sofft booties here!
