I made sure to take full advantage of fall outfit layers during my recent Savannah trip. I was initially afraid that it might be a similar southern “fall” that we have in Louisiana. But, the first day we arrived, we were greeted with 40 degree temps! This girl was excited to whip out some of her new Henri Bendel pieces including these easy outerwear options in today’s post!
About a month ago, we were invited to an event that was business attire, and I had the most difficult time deciding what to wear. I knew most of the people attending were from law firms and political groups, and here I was a work-from-home fashion blogger… Not exactly the closet full of workwear options, right? But a light bulb went off, and I reached for a classic pantsuit that I’ve had for YEARS.
Like I mentioned in my fall to-do list post, getting outdoorsy was one way that I wanted to embrace the season. And I think it’s pretty safe that between Stowe and Savannah, I accomplished just that. Figuring out what to wear for fall outdoor activities was a fun little project for me too though! (Seeing as how I’m not an outdoor type at all.) This outfit that I wore in Forsyth Park includes some of my favorite pieces for braving the outdoors including my new Sofft Baywood booties.
Apologies in advance for all of the PINK in today’s post if you don’t necessarily love it as much as I do! I couldn’t help myself when I realized my new off the shoulder sweater dress matched perfectly with my favorite colored building in Baton Rouge. 🙂
If I’m being honest with myself, I buy way too many neutral shoes. While I often dress colorfully with my clothes, I’ve been playing it really safe with my footwear lately. I first noticed it when my shoe shelf started looking way too boring – I used to have some REALLY quirky shoes y’all! So I jumped at the chance to add some color back into my collection in today’s post with Zappos and these Lucky Brand navy booties!
