I’m off again on another quick work trip – sounds so weird to say considering I
never had the opportunity to travel with my last job. My work trips are
literally fly in one day and fly out the next morning which usually means
carry-on and comfy outfits only. But that’s actually more difficult than it
sounds sometimes. How do you look cute in travel clothes?
airport all of the time, and it’s like a great mystery to me. When I’m squashed
next to the biggest man on the plane with his neck pillow hanging off onto my
shoulder (this is literally happening right now as I type), I’d immediately
regret not wearing leggings and sneakers. Anyone else? So basically, I’ve been
perusing my comfy travel outfit options lately in effort to travel in comfort
know – they are like hoodies but cuter than the normal ones, and they come in
hot pink – my fave. They are long enough to wear with leggings and are an easy
item to throw on when you’re running out the door for a quick errand. I’m not a
mom yet, but I’m thinking all you moms (and moms-to-be) might really benefit
from this collection too!

Red lips and nautical stripes are one of the first signs of spring because you know – you can’t just go from wearing sweaters coats into wearing neons and florals all at once. Let’s ease into things with the classics that never go out of style… And you know who does classic better than anyone? Boden is the UK clothing brand that’s currently making my heart melt over their perfect pointy toes and striped shift dresses. This is the brand that is sure to put a little prep in your step with their current collection filled with effortless button-up shirts and swinging spring coats. I fell in love with Boden after getting a few of their whimsical catalogs in the mail and afterwards feeling the urgent need to fill my closet with all of their proper and polished pieces.
I promptly scooped up this striped shirt dress for office days and absolutely-had-to-get these red lace-up flats. (Y’all there are tiny red tassels on the ends of the ties.) It’s looking like a lot of other folks were dying over them too since they are almost sold out! The flats also come in three other colors including a metallic silver that is gorgeous! My dress also comes in three other colors which made my stripe obsession register at an all-time high, but I ultimately settled on the classic navy and white stripe. Topped off with a pop of red lip and a camel tote for the complete head-to-toe look.

Happy Valentine’s Day! I wore this Waldrip NYC midi skirt recently and thought it would be the perfect atypical Valentine’s day outfit post. I paired it with a striped crop top and baby pink envelope clutch. And meanwhile I’m sitting in NYC in negative eight degree weather realizing that wearing this outfit would be a total DREAM right now. I have on tights under my jeans that are under two pair of socks. Pretty Valentine’s Day outfits were not in the cards for me today, so I’m living vicariously through my own outfit photos!
I’m BOOKING it home tomorrow and might be pulling this skirt back out on Friday for my BFF’s rehearsal dinner. I’m thinking about pairing it with a solid black top and a statement necklace? And speaking of statement makers, if you click through to the full post, I have some detail shots of an awesome new Baublebar statement ring that I’m loving right now. I brought it to NYFW with me, but you know… the whole gloves in winter thing.
Also in today’s full post is a round-up of my favorite holiday weekend sales that you’ll want to check out before they end tonight and tomorrow! xo
