Mexico has got to be one of the most fun travel destinations to pack for! I knew when I found this matching two piece set and these fringe Sole Society heels, they were coming with me to La Paz! (Don’t they scream “Krystal, you need to wear us with a margarita in hand?” Excited to share more of this outfit and a few more Mexico packing tips in today’s post!
1. Pack Light Colors
Packing light takes on a whole new meaning in Mexico because you’ll want to wear lighter colors to show off that sun-kissed tan. Try this matching set than can be worn together or separately. Plus, the light colors of this Sole Society handbag and these fringe heels will be versatile when it comes to pairing with outfits in your suitcase.
There’s no doubt about it, I have an affinity for shoes. So for me, shoes and finding ways to wear them is always a particularly exciting hobby for me. Shoe shopping is 100% a hobby, right? But let’s just say shoes aren’t one of your hobbies. What are the never-fail shoes you should you always have in your closet? I’ve teamed up with DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse and their Kelly & Katie line, a footwear brand exclusively at DSW (aka Shoe Heaven) to talk about the three spring shoe styles that are always in style!
1. The Chic Flat
When you’re looking for the sophistication of a heel but also looking for comfort, you should always have a chic flat on hand! I recently have picked up a few different pointed toe styles like these tan ones from Kelly & Katie. I love pairing them with a pair of distressed jeans.
One of my all-time favorite handbag styles is the Henri Bendel Schoolbag. (I love it so much that I have it in three different versions! Excessive, I know. But when it’s good, it’s good.) I’ve been looking for anew crossbody to take the spot of my rainbow tasseled crossbody from last year (recently sold in my Closet Sale) but also wanted something with a little pop.So imagine how ecstatic I was when I saw this PINK schoolbag in the Henri Bendel spring arrivals!
I love how sturdy this bag is and the fact that it has a divider to help keep the contents organized. And speaking of organized the Henri Bendel Uptown wallet organizer is ah-mazing for keeping all your wallet contents nice and neat. It includes card slots, a lipstick slot and a phone pocket. It can even double as a wristlet with the studded wrist strap! (My city wallet is in the Sea Salt color that makes it easy to find in the bottom of my bags.)
If you’re looking to revamp your spring accessories with a pop or color or vowing to keep all of those pesky receipts and credit cards in one spot, check out the rest of today’s post!
Just in time for my trip to Mexico, I was able to grab a few pieces from the Express x Karlie Kloss collection. This blush polka dot maxi is a vacation dream! With it’s tie back and flowy skirt, it’s hard to not feel a little bit of wanderlust when you wear it. There are three maxi dress styles in the Kloss collection – blush with polka dots, black with polka dots and a vibrant red. (I also got the red one, and it’s also SO good.)
I paired this blush version with turquoise accessories, a pair of strappy heels and a floppy hat on my recent stay in La Paz. But if you’re not looking for a vacation look, you could also pair with black ankle strap heels and a embellished clutch for a night out. OR pair with a pair of flat sandals and a jean jacket for an easy weekend look!
It’s Lord & Taylor sale time! The Friends and Family 30% off event starts this week – meaning you can snag some of your spring outfits for a nice discount! I recently picked up some vacation pieces for my trip to Mexico, and I’m sharing how I’m wearing them while I’m here. Denim pieces like the cutoff skirt and jean shorts in today’s post are must-haves for beach trips – and right now they’re both 30% off!
I thought the embroidery detail on this off-the-shoulder top was PERFECT for La Paz. (And perfect for keeping straps off my sunburned shoulders…) The long-sleeve Design Lab top is incredibly soft, and I have worn it all week especially after we get back to the house at night. It’s so comfy with lounge pants and a glass of wine!
And because you know I have to take advantage of a cute shoe on sale – HOW adorable are the espadrille bow flats. I’m still swooning over them. So cute to wear with outfits and out to the pool! See more of these two looks in today’s full post!
