From updated stripes to florals prints, below are some festive outfit ideas you can try during the holiday, and continue to wear all summer long. Personally, I’m a fan of the classic red, white, and blue color palette, but you can’t go wrong with less cliché options that function as a swimsuit cover up. Summer is practically here, and let me tell you guys that I could not be more thrilled to get out in the sunshine! Now that Bennett is getting bigger, we have started taking him out and about more often. This mama is ready for her new outfits! You know that dresses are one of my favorite summer pieces, and when it comes to finding the perfect dress, nothing is quite as chic with a tan than the color white! Lately, I’ve been loving all things Ted Baker, and they have a ton of new white styles popping up. Here’s a look at my top picks from Ted Baker’s white dresses – because you need at least one LWD to complete your perfect summer wardrobe!
Last month, I got to be a part of a DREAM trip with Lilly Pulitzer to celebrate their new “Lilly Pulitzer Cottage” at White Elephant Nantucket! Ever since visiting the island for a quick day trip two summers ago, I’ve been dying to get back to it’s beautiful hydrangea-filled yards and charming homes. Along with Jen from Style Charade, Brittany from Loverly Grey and Jenn from Haute Off the Rack, we were able to experience the best of Nantucket, and I’m here to spill all the details in today’s post! If you’re planning an upcoming trip or hope to get there one day, keep reading for my Nantucket travel guide!
Where is Nantucket and How to Get There:
Nantucket is an island right off the eastern peninsula of Massachusetts known as Cape Cod. There are two ways to get there: take a high-speed ferry (about an hour ride from Hyannis port) or fly directly into the very small airport (on a very small plane) directly onto the island. What they say is true y’all – sometimes the best places to visit are the ones that take a little longer to get to!
I recently introduced you guys to one of my new favorite brands, Nordstrom 1901, here but had a few more summer outfit ideas I wanted to share. You guys know I love my trying new trends and bold accessories, but sometimes, I just want to simplify. And that requires getting down to one striking detail to spruce up your summer look. For me, that’s been tie waist and bow tie details! Unsurprisingly, there’s plenty to be found in the 1901 collection. Click through to see more ways to spruce up your summer looks!
