Is it just me or is it the older you get, the less grandiose your New Year’s Eve plans seem to be? The last few years we’ve actually preferred to have no plans at all! And realistically, if you waited until today to try to find a big group reservation for a party bus or dinner, you’re going to be SOL my friend. So I wanted to put together a few easy, last-minute NYE ideas if you’re still looking for something to do. (Chances are, we will be doing one of the things on this list!)
Ps. HOW cute are these party favors by Fox Fete?! All of these paper decorations and word banners all came in a box small enough to pack in my suitcase! Perfect for parties on-the-go and if you’re planning to travel! Check them out here.
I don’t know how I always end up here every year. It’s the week before Christmas, and I still haven’t finished my gift shopping. Are you like me? I’m sharing a few of my favorite gifts under $50 in today’s last minute gift guide! I’ll also be updating you on retailer shipping deadlines this week, but here’s a quick refresher:
Wednesday, December 20 – Last day for PRIORITY or 2-DAY SHIPPING
Thursday, December 21 – Last day for overnight weekday shipping
Friday, December 22 – Last day for overnight Saturday shipping
A few days ago, I posted my winter to-do list filled with all of the fun things that I’m looking forward to this month. But you know one thing I’m not looking forward to? Winter skin. During December and January, my skin definitely tends to be drier and duller. Chatting about how to avoid winter skin woes in today’s post using four simple tips and the new Olay Whips moisturizer. My skin has literally been drinking this stuff up!
Last Friday was CRAZY y’all – we had an unexpected snow storm blow right through Baton Rouge! It was pretty cool waking up to a winter wonderland, and because Louisiana isn’t used to icy roads, most businesses were closed for the day. No complaints from this girl for getting to spend the day in our pajamas and slippers! (It was so nice having Jordan at home for the day too!) The snow might have already melted, but I’m still living my best fuzzy slipper life and dreaming of these cozy gift ideas from Nordstrom in today’s post.
Sometimes blog post ideas come from the most random places! The idea for today’s spiked hot chocolate bar post came about after one fated trip to World Market. I came home with 4 different hot chocolate types, snowflake marshmallows and – Kringle Kream. I didn’t know what it was at the time, it just literally sounded like liquid icing. And after documenting this trip on Instagram Stories, I got SO many responses and questions in regards to my hot chocolate supplies!
Not only did you have expert hot chocolate advice, you had recipes and tips for perfecting the perfect cocoa consistency and heat. And you proved that I’ve been drinking hot chocolate ALL wrong my entire life. Sharing my spiked hot chocolate bar cart and YOUR cocoa tips and tricks in today’s full post!
