I’m so excited to be sharing photos from Bennett’s baby shower brunch! With the help of family and friends, we had the most special day to celebrate together. When we found out we were having a boy, I wanted for Jordan to feel included in every way, so I suggested a co-ed baby party instead of the typical baby shower with just girls. Brunch is a way of life in the South, so we invited everyone to come hang out while enjoying a light weekend brunch with great company. I really can’t imagine a more perfect day and can’t keep from smiling and scrolling through all the photos. A BIG thank you to everyone who helped host and all the vendors who made it incredibly beautiful in every way. I’m sharing all of the details from our baby shower brunch in today’s full post!

Location + Food
The shower location was The Royal Standard’s Crown Bistro. I love the food on the menu here, and they have a very spacious event area + an outdoor courtyard. I originally wanted most of the party to be outdoors, but it decided to rain that day!! So we moved everything indoors – which ended up being fine because the interior is so pretty too! The menu we picked from their brunch catering options is available in 3 different tiers. BUT you can really do whatever you want, so we made some swaps to the final food menu to ensure that my favorite avocado toast was included. Other items served were mini croque monsieur sandwiches, pancake bites, fresh garden salad, and mini parmesan quiches. There were also other light bites like fruit skewers, mini muffins, mini cinnamon rolls, donut holes and pastries. AND don’t forget the mimosa bar. 😉
Invitations
I knew when I saw these stork baby shower invitations on Minted that this was the exact color palette I was going for. Metallic gold and rose gold, gray and a light sage green. We also mixed in some navy too. (And the stork image from the invites was SO cute incorporated onto the custom made cookies too!) I love how Minted offers metallic foil printing, and the rose gold was stunning on the finished printed invites. We had coordinating envelopes and a wrap-around return address sticker that matched as well that said “Welcome Bennett!”
Balloon Decorations
Okay, this was my FAVORITE part of the entire party. Once we nailed down the invitations, I was able to send the image to Balloonatics Baton Rouge, who came up with this amazing balloon garland. The colors and pops of metallic gold were perfect, and she created the balloon arch of my dreams! It came out a million times better than I ever imagined in my head and served as a fun photo backdrop during the party. Now I don’t think I can ever have another party without a balloon arch…
Florals
Again going with the invitation colors, I wanted a few simple but beautiful floral arrangements. The main centerpiece for the food table was from local florist Billy Heroman’s. We came up with a mix of hydrangea and white lilies with eucalyptus and frosted greenery for both the large arrangement and the mini arrangements to be displayed on the other food tables.
Another floral focal point was the custom wooden sign from Custom Botanique. I love these cute little moss name signs for events – and we are going to re-display it in the nursery too! You can pick your font and the different flower options. (SUCH a cute gift idea too!)
Custom Desserts
Okay, my second favorite part of the entire shower was the dessert table. (I’ve been craving sweets like crazy since the middle of my second trimester!)Â Sweet Stirrings made the most delicious two-tier cake with berries and chantilly cream filling. There were literally barely any cake leftovers, and my dad is still talking about how it was his favorite part of the shower haha. Sweet Stirrings also made the cute custom cookies! A lot of times decorated sugar cookies look super pretty but don’t taste good – these were SO delicious.
Party Favors
I am obsessed with the mini King Cakes from Joe Gambino’s Bakery – they are about two cake servings per box. Since it was a baby shower, I thought it would be so funny for everyone to “leave with a baby” – each mini King Cake had a Mardi Gras baby hidden inside! Gambino’s is a local New Orleans bakery, but they DO offer shipping. So we were able to get all of the mini King Cakes sent from New Orleans for the party. For more info on their King Cake deliveries, check out their website!

There were a lot of little details that were included that I wanted to mention:

Custom wreaths with pop of gold: The Sweetest Grace
(She also offers baby wreaths for the hospital/when the baby comes home!)
