Last Friday was CRAZY y’all – we had an unexpected snow storm blow right through Baton Rouge! It was pretty cool waking up to a winter wonderland, and because Louisiana isn’t used to icy roads, most businesses were closed for the day. No complaints from this girl for getting to spend the day in our pajamas and slippers! (It was so nice having Jordan at home for the day too!) The snow might have already melted, but I’m still living my best fuzzy slipper life and dreaming of these cozy gift ideas from Nordstrom in today’s post.

One of my guilty pleasures every winter is a new pair of slippers – or two. Working from home, mine get a ton of wear and I’ve found that my Ugg slippers are the most durable. I even find myself wanting to walk right out of the house in them on errand running days. Nordstrom has a TON of Ugg slipper options for the entire family!

Burrow Under the Blankets

I’m ALWAYS freezing, so we have blankets in every room of the house. Even our dogs have their own special blankets too! I love the idea of piling all the blankets onto the floor for a winter movie night. I found the CUTEST fluffy faux fur sleeping bags on Nordstrom!

Pile on the Pillows

Jordan always tells me that we have too many throw pillows, but is there really any such thing? I can’t say no to sparkly, fluffy pillows! I like to swap out pillows depending on the season, and right now I love all of the velvet and sequin options. The mermaid sequin pillows that change colors when you swipe them are SO cool too.

Light All the Candles

I burn candles all day long during the winter months. Winter candles are my FAVORITE smells! Plus, they always make perfect gift ideas. I love the Capri Blue candles are now offered on Nordstrom – and their gilded jars are insanely gorgeous. If you empty the leftover wax out, they can be used as really pretty planters.
