As you are probably already aware, we are undergoing a bedroom update that continues to take on new legs. After adding in new bedding, new artwork – we decided we wanted to upgrade our mattress and bed too! (Probably should have thought about that first?) Well better late than never! Jordan has been having issues sleeping on my princess pillow-top mattress ever since, well always, so deciding to get a new mattress has been on the books. BUT we recently decided that if we are going to get a new mattress we might as well GO BIG. So our eve king-size foam mattress-in-a-box has arrived!
If you’re unfamiliar, eve is the UK’s loved mattress brand that just started offering US delivery. The process on the website was simple and straight-forward which took the headache out of searching for a good mattress. They also offer a 100 night mattress trial – if we don’t like the mattress, we can just ship it right back! Plus eve’s high quality product is a fraction of the cost that you’d get with a store bought foam mattress (price is always important to Jordan…), and not to mention, the packaging just really made it an easy decision for me, haha.
So far, Jordan did all the grunt work unpacking and Odie is just relaxing on it. 🙂
One of the biggest concerns for me was buying a mattress online. How is it going to feel? We’ve never had a foam mattress, so how are we going to sleep on it? How the heck is a giant king-size mattress going to get overseas? The 100 night trial knocked out the first two questions and then the actual unpacking was part of the fun! Our eve mattress came vacuum packed in a box, and once opened, the mattress expanded as it filled the foam back up with air. (OH and the packaging is really really cool.)
As we transition into the new mattress (and soon-to-be, new bed), I’ll keep you guys up-to-date with more room progress!
