The last time I published this post was TWO years ago in 2017 after starting to work from home! I had just started listening to my first podcasts while looking to fill the coworker void. I would scan relevant webinars and podcasts throughout the day to make sure I was keeping up with personal development skills that I was used to getting from a “normal” job. Now the podcast world has become an abundant sea of inspiring podcasts aimed at creative entrepreneurs and personal growth!
Because I’ve changed my listening preferences and my business has also changed, I’ve added new favorites to my rotation, so I wanted to update this post with my current listens. AND I’m even sharing which one I was recently asked to be a guest on for my first ever podcast interview!
Would love to hear your favorites in the comments so that I can check them out too!

The irony of this one being at the top of my list is that when this post was originally published in 2017, I mentioned it looked like it was going to be “a good one to start.” It didn’t have that many episodes yet, and flash forward to today when Jenna Kutcher is absolutely 100% killing it. There are a ton of useful business tips and interesting business owners that Jenna hosts on her episodes. It doesn’t really matter which type of business you’re in, there are motivational episodes fit for everyone.
This one might not be for you unless you’re highly interested in the world of social media, public relations or are a blogger/influencer yourself. With that said, I love Julie Solomon’s fresh take on the world of blogging and PR through insightful conversations with her guests. There are tips on social media strategy, confidence in pitching yourself, blogging best practices and more.
WorkParty is a podcast hosted by Jaclyn Johnson, the entrepreneur behind Create & Cultivate. After meeting Jaclyn last summer at the Create & Cultivate pop-up event in Houston, I immediately became a BIG fan girl. Not only does she have some major boss babes as guests – hello Bobbi Brown and Venus Williams – but Jaclyn is a wealth of business knowledge and inspiration herself. Highly recommend!
I can’t remember the first time that I found Marie, but I signed up for her newsletter a LONG time ago and she’s been popping up in my inbox ever since. I love Marie’s spunky way of tackling business questions and advice in a relatable and down-to-earth way. When I can’t watch her Marie TV videos, I’ll listen to her podcast episodes to catch up on what topic or FAQ she’s dishing on.
If you’re looking for something not only business-related, with a touch of health and beauty, and greatly entertaining, I’d recommend this one! Lauryn Evarts and Michael Bosstick are the wife/husband duo that cover a variety of topics ranging from energy work to monetizing online brands. You name it, they’ve got a fun episode about it. One of my favorites and was also included in my original podcast blog post in 2017.
Okay y’all, one of my uber creative friends has started her own podcast called Do What You Want!! It’s a conversation that Jordan Hefler and I always used to have, and she’s finally started it. (She even asked me to be on an episode, so if you want to hear my very first ever podcast episode, check out episode #3!) Jordan is interviewing local creatives on how they started their businesses + tips they have for other entrepreneurs. It’s been really fun listening to people that I know from our Baton Rouge circle of creatives!
These are not necessarily business podcasts, but I LOVE them:
Okay, so this one might not be for everyone, but I find it SO interesting. This wellness podcast talks about everything from astrology to spiritual empowerment to energy crystals and palm readings.
Another guilty pleasure of mine is Bitch Sesh covers all the Bravo shows week by week. If you love the Housewives and Andy Cohen, you HAVE to listen to this one!!
Start your morning off with a dose of your daily celebrity news and updates. Each episode runs through what you need to know about the current pop culture climate and I mean yeah, all the celebrity gossip that you’ll want to talk about with all your friends later.
