Since it’s now November, you might definitely be getting into the gift giving spirit! (Doesn’t it feel too soon to be thinking about this?!) I’ve found that the older I get, the more thought I try to put into my shopping list. I’ve started to give things that I know will be practical and put into good use. I know that sounds so grandma of me, but seriously, finding the perfect, thoughtful gift always makes me happy too! This year, I’m going a step further and looking at gift ideas that also double as a way
to give back. There are so many brands that offer great products but also donate to charitable organizations.  I’m sure you’ve heard of most of these options, but I really wanted to emphasize a few of my favorites like:

Starting November 16th, TOMS and Target are partnering for a special holiday collaboration. TOMS for Target follows the one-for-one model – with each purchase, a gift will be given to a person in need. This collection (a few items seen above) includes blankets, canvas pouches, bracelets, sweaters and more in addition to the original TOMS slip-ons. For the full list of products and more information visit TOMS for Target.

West Elm
West Elm collaborates with over 20 artisan groups in 15 different countries. This includes 4,500 artisan workers and includes their 18,000 family members. The “handcrafted” tab on the West Elm website features the products through which West Elm has committed to pay $35 million directly back to artisans.

Kate Spade
One hundred and fifty Masoro women are the artisans behind Kate Spade’s recent “On Purpuse” collection. They handcraft beading, embroidery and even friendship bracelets. The Snapdragon scarf features hand-sewn poms in vibrant colors. This collection has become so popular that the items go in and out of inventory due to high demand.

Warby Parker
Known for the their super cute glasses and for their cause, Warby Parker continues to create eyeglasses that people love to wear. Their one-for-one model means when someone buys a pair of glasses, a pair is also given to someone with vision impairment. In addition to regular eyeglasses, the website also boasts a large and impressive collection of sunglasses.

Have you started thinking about holiday shopping? What are your favorite brands that give back?
