As a behind-the-blog peek into my home, I’m doing a mini-series on how I’m celebrating and decorating for the holidays at home. Jordan absolutely refuses to let me start decorating for Christmas until AFTER Thanksgiving. As in, he will not go into the attic to bring down any Christmas decorations until the weekend after it. So I have to patiently wait until I can start opening my ornaments or hanging my boxwood wreaths. I like to think Odie waits anxiously too…
Jordan’s grandparents gave us their beautiful, vintage glass ornaments. We have several wooden boxes full of them. And my grandparents gave us a large box filled with classic Hallmark ornaments. I love opening the ornaments knowing there’s a special meaning to them. At the same time, I also enjoy getting to add in our own special pieces year after year.
These are just a few images as I’m trying to get all of my Christmas decorations out of boxes. Right now, there are only two stockings, but I’ll be adding two more for the dogs! I found the cutest ones that are shaped like bones – those coming soon! I’ll also get some finished photos of our tree once it’s complete too.
Tufted Banquette is from World Market!
What are you guys doing to decorate for the holidays – and when do you start?
