The holiday season may be all about spending quality time with family and exchanging gifts, but it’s also a great time to give back and spread happiness. Giving back is something that can be done every day, but it’s especially important around the holidays for families that are enduring hardships.
As a new mom, I am so thankful and grateful to have been blessed with a healthy baby this year. Jordan and I agreed that we wanted to make giving back to children’s charities a bigger initiative for our family this holiday season. One organization that is near and dear to both of our hearts is St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Stage is partnering with St. Jude Children’s Hospital so that families of St. Jude never have to pay out of pocket for treatment. Keep reading to find out how you can join us in the fight against childhood cancer and pediatric diseases.

St. Jude is a Children’s Research Hospital built on the premise that no child should be denied treatment regardless of their race, religion, or financial state. Since St. Jude’s inception in 1962, they’ve helped millions of children from all around the world. Here’s how you can join Stage in making a difference:
Social Media Awareness
From now until December 31st, Stage and Gordmans stores will be donating $1 for each Instagram post that includes the hashtag, #BearsThatCare. This is a powerful yet super easy way to get involved because it spreads awareness to others who might not be familiar with all the amazing work St. Jude does to aid children. Plus, you can easily get them in on the action and raise even more money!
Shop Holiday Gifts That Give Back
Stage is an off-price department store that’s great for finding affordable gifts and home decor pieces for the holidays. The next time you’re at Stage (or shop online here), be sure to pick up Miguel, a soft, cuddly teddy bear that makes a great Christmas present for kids. These little guys are SO cute and only cost $10. When you buy a bear, $2 of your purchase will be donated to St. Jude. I love that the teddy bear’s name is named after a real St. Jude patient. And honestly, you can never really be too old for a stuffed animal!
Another way you can get involved is by making a donation at the register during your next run to a Stage or Gordmans store. You can rest easy knowing your contribution is going to a good place because treatments founded by hospital have increased childhood cancer survival rates from 20% to 80% since its opening… Now that’s something to celebrate!
In the grand scheme of things, the above methods are so easy and simple, but will make a lasting impact on a child and their family. You can learn more about the cause here.
