Wow, what’s this – a weekend post?! I knowwww! I’ve got so much NYFW content to get to you guys, so I’m starting a little Saturday posting in case you have some down time this weekend. And who knows, if you like the weekend posts, maybe I’ll start occasionally posting when I have extra post content? Let me know what you think!

I can remember years ago looking at the Kate Spade presentation photos online and thinking about how cool it would be to actually be there in person. So now after going and experiencing it all for myself, did it live up to all of the hype I gave it – absolutely. From stepping on the real grass floor and being served champagne and desserts to taking in the entire floral walls made out of paper… and I haven’t even gotten to the clothes yet. Y’all. It was this girl’s dream. Kate Spade invited me to the the flipping cutest garden party ever.

The whimsy and creative direction of the Kate Spade collections never ceases to amaze me. It’s a brand that pulls at these graphic designer’s heart strings. There were purses in the forms of watering cans and potted plants and the giant heart hobo bag that made me stop in my tracks. Just writing about it makes me gush. But really, all you have to do is look at the photos.

What I do love about the presentation format instead of actual runway shows – you can actually get up close to the clothing. I was able to take in every little detail by wandering in between the models which made it a much more personal experience. I like when a brand takes in account how the spectator experiences the show. Hands down one of my favorite shows that I’ve been to and one of my favorite memories from this last NYC trip.

Thank you Kate Spade for inviting me to your spring presentation!
