Mardi Gras is one of those times where you can let conventional outfits fly out the window. When you’re out on the parade route, you will see people wearing ALL types of crazy things, so I find it totally acceptable to wear something fun like sequins. This was ultimately my chance to re-wear a pair of black sequin leggings from the holidays, and they were perfect with my new baseball tee from Simply Chic!

This tee designed by Rachael Hansil features gold script “Laissez les bon temps rouler” meaning “let the good times roll!” The shirts are only $20 and can be ordered or picked up from either the Bossier or Mandeville store locations. They were selling super fast, so you will need to call Simply Chic to see if they have sizes still in stock at either store! Jenn wore her Elizabeth Chronicles tee that says “I’m on the King Cake Diet.” (If only that were a real thing.) You can see the other Mardi Gras tee designs available on their online shop!

But the party doesn’t stop here! You will notice the cutest little car cart in the background of our photos that holds all or our ingredients for the perfect Mardi Gras Bloody Mary. That post will be coming up later this week!

Visit Haute Off the Rack to see Jenn’s post!

ps. You can see my Mardi Gras Footwear picks here, and you can shop till you drop on my new Wishlist Page!

Summer party ideas for your special event planning decor can be fast, easy and inexpensive. Instead of using a tea-light with your glass votive, drop a Cymbidium orchid in the glass instead. Or place an orchid weighted down with water and colored glass beads in a small glass vase.
