My Must-Have Travel Beauty Products

While in Napa, I decided to do something a little bit different and snap what’s inside my makeup bag when I travel. You may have seen my acrylic makeup organizers in previous posts – they hold SO much stuff y’all. But I only travel with my 100% can’t-live-without products. So before I do a deep dive into my entire makeup collection, I though it might be more important to point out the ones that I bring with me on every single trip. Click through below to see my must-have travel beauty products that can all be found at Nordstrom!

This week (8/26), Nordstrom is offering beauty gifts with purchase that I’ll be outlining under all of the different brands eligible in today’s post! It’s a fun way to try out new products that you might not have known about from your go-to brands!

My Can’t Live Without Beauty Products

Behold my holy grail of makeup products. These are the ones that I keep going back to no matter how many new brands or formulas I try. (With all the PR packages that come in, I have gotten to try a ton, and these are still my go-to products.)
Ps. What’s great is that you can find them all on so checking out is super easy, and if you’re like me, you always spring for the overnight shipping which is clutch.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Foundation: Formulas that can last the Louisiana heat and humidity are few and far between. I’ve been using this Laura Mercier foundation since I discovered it this spring. I love how it’s light but has great coverage and a matte finish. Tip: You don’t have to use a ton – I use about 2 pumps – so it lasts a long time.

Laura Mercier Setting Powder: You. Need. This. There’s no other way to keep your concealer from creasing or your makeup from setting perfectly. I started with the travel size of this product just to see what the hype was about and immediately upgraded to the full size once it was empty. Tip: Use it with the fluffy pouf that comes along with it.

Nordstrom Free Gift: Receive a mini velour puff and deluxe samples of Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Highlight 01 (0.06 oz.) and Translucent Loose Setting Powder (0.12 oz.) with your $65 Laura Mercier purchase. A $32 value.

Urban Decay All Nighter Concealer: Okay prior to finding this formula, I had been using the same concealer for about 10 years because I swore there was nothing better. This is better. It may be the best ever. Tip: blend quickly because it does dry fast! But once it’s dry, it’s NOT moving. I now look bright-eyed all day long no matter how big the dark circles.

Urban Decay Setting Spray (first photo): Okay, I feel like this is a no brainer, but I have to mention it. Tip: I keep the mini travel size setting sprays in my bag at all times because the full-size ones can take up too much room.

Nordstrom Free Gift: Receive deluxe samples of Optical Illusion Complexion Primer (0.16 oz.) and Vice Lipstick in Backtalk (0.03 oz.) with your $55 Urban Decay purchase.

Sigma Beauty Brushes: Wondering why your bronzer and blush aren’t looking as flawless as you think they should? It’s probably your brushes! I didn’t believe in the magic of a good makeup brush until I got my first set of Sigma brushes – they have a cult following for a reason y’all. Tip: Start by adding a bronzer and/or blush brush to your current collection.

Supergoop CC Cream: We all have those days where we don’t feel like putting on a full face of makeup. THIS is what you need for those days. I was skeptical of CC creams bc I tried a few that felt greasy and offered barely any coverage. This CC cream is everything you want from a moisturizer – quickly rub on and go for perfect coverage without feeling heavy or oily. Plus, it has that SPF you need! Tip: Pop the Supergoop Setting Powder Stick in your bag for quick touch-ups.

Now that we’ve covered the best-of-the-best, here are a few additional products  I’m currently using that get a major thumbs up for fall beauty looks. I like to rotate different brands and formulas when it comes to these types of products, but right now, I’m loving these from Bobbi Brown.

Bobbi Brown Favorites

Bobbi Brown Bronzer: Picked up this bronzer from an event in Houston, and I really like the softness of the color. It’s really blend-able so that you can add depth and color as you like.

Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder: So many pretty highlighter options from this brand! What I like is that it’s not overly glittery. It’s a subtle sheen that you can add to your cheekbone without blinding people. 😉

Bobbi Brown Cream Eye Shadow Sticks: Okay these are so perfect for when you’re in a rush (always me). I can quickly just rub it on, blend with my finger and dash out the door.

Nordstrom Free Gift: Receive deluxe samples of Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink (0.03 oz.) and Extra Repair Moisturizing Balm SPF 25 (0.24 oz.) with your $65 Bobbi Brown beauty purchase. A $21 value. Online only.

Lancome has always been a favorite of mine, and it seems like they keep coming out with new products that keep just getting better. I’m a big fan of their formulas for lips and eyes!

Lancome Favorites:

Cils Booster XL: I use this lash primer any and every time before I apply my mascara. (This should actually also be under my can’t-live-without-products, but I included it here instead.) I can’t even use mascara without a primer now because of this product.

Monsieur Big Mascara:  I’m using this mascara right now along with the Cils Booster XL. There’s a waterproof version, but I like to stick to the non-waterproof formulas. Much easier to take off and less tugging at the lashes. This formula makes your lashes extra plump! (Kind of a splurge, so if I had to pick, I’d splurge on the primer above.)

L’Absolu Lip Lacquer: Okay, I don’t know how this stuff works, but it’s magical. It’s like a gloss that dries but still looks glossy. Aka it’s not going to smudge, come off on your glass or feel sticky. It also somehow does not dry out your lips. You can also apply in layers depending on how deep you want the color. LOVE this stuff and always have one with me in my purse.

Nordstrom Free Gift: Receive deluxe samples of Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner (1.6 oz.), Advanced Génifique Serum (0.27 oz.), Énergie de Vie Overnight Recovery Sleeping Mask (0.5 oz.) and Génifique Eye Cream (0.2 oz.) with your $49.50 Lancôme purchase. Online only.
