Which leads me directly into the first 5 items on my to-do list for fall…
1. Put together the most major 70s inspired wardrobe
Along with flares and bell sleeves, another major 70s trend is making its comeback this season in the form of wooden soles and updated clogs. I’m wearing the Dansko Deni clogs right now with transitional skirts, but these guys will also be super cute while rocking flare jeans and vests. If you saw my IG posts from NYFW, you’ll know that I’m already stocking up on flares that will be perfect to wear with my Dansko clogs! I’m especially loving the fringe detailing, and don’t let the wooden heel fool you – they are super comfy to wear!

2. Visit a real life apple orchard and pumpkin patch
I basically say this every year, but I want to go pick apples. Silly right? I have never seen a real orchard or pumpkin patch! Living in Louisiana, we always get our pumpkins off of big wooden palettes in front of the grocery store. So if you have recommendations of best places to visit for cool weather, a chance to break out my puffer vests and pick some apples/see some pumpkins – let me know!
3. Host an outdoor dinner for friends
After 5 years in our house, I’m still trying to get our back porch “host-worthy” for inviting friends over for an outdoor dinner. There are only a few weekends out of the year for us that have weather nice enough to dine outside, and nearly all of them are in the fall months. Going to try to check this off this year!
4. Take advantage of the weather and exercise outside
Plain and simple, I hate running on an elliptical or treadmill, but running outside in Baton Rouge during the summer is like a death wish. I can’t wait until cooler temps will allow for more time outside – even if it’s just walking the dogs more frequently and for a longer amount of time. Odie can barely make it down the street without his tongue hanging out right now, haha.
5. Finish my website update
Okay I guess it’s time to finally put it out there – I’m in the process of redoing my entire site for better performance and functionality! I can’t say too much, but a little trip I’m making this week will give me an updated timeline for things to switch over without a hitch. More to come on this!
