It’s hard to pick up a fashion magazine or look at your favorite blogs without seeing this summer’s big NEON color obsession. There’s no denying that neon is back, but if you’re like me, you’re probably apprehensive about how to wear it. I tend to lean into rosy hues that compliment my complexion, so while I’m likely not going to rock a full neon ensemble, there are ways to tie in those electric tones. One easy way to wear a neon lip color this summer is with a quick lipstick swap! On my recent visit to Mary Kay headquarters, we got a sneak peek of their new Limited-Edition* Mary Kay® Matte Lipstick in Paparazzi Pink. Embracing a statement lip can be daunting, so I’m sharing how to incorporate it into a normal makeup routine with confidence in today’s full post!

Pick a Color You Already Like + Go BRIGHTER
For me, Paparazzi Pink was a no-brainer because I normally wear blush and pink colors on my lips. I also knew that because I wear a lot of pastel and blush tones in my outfits that this bright pink would also be complimentary to the wardrobe I already own.
Pick a Formula: Matte or Glossy, Lipstick or Lip Gloss
If you’re used to a certain lip formula, you’ll probably want to stick to it. If you tend to go with natural matte lip colors, you’ll probably feel overwhelmed with a neon glossy lip color. I love the Mary Kay Matte Lipsticks because they leave your lips highly pigmented while still moisturized. They are velvety smooth and packed full of color for all day wear.
Another reason I can’t wait to rock a neon statement lip all summer – Paparazzi Pink also gives back to the Mary Kay global Pink Changing Lives Program! Mary Kay Inc. will donate $1 from every sale of Limited-Edition* Mary Kay® Matte Lipstick in Paparazzi Pink to the Mary Kay Foundation from now until August 15, 2019. In the US, The Mary Kay Foundation concentrates its efforts to find cures for cancers affecting women and to help prevent domestic violence which is something we can all smile brightly about!
Thank you to Mary Kay for partnering on today’s post. As always, all thoughts and styling are my own.
