NYFW Insta Recap

Another trip to NYC is in the books – a very very cold trip I might add which made deciding what to wear particularly difficult! (This may or may not be my last February fashion week guys. I just don’t think I was cut out for the subzero temps and bursting pipes…) Most of the trip was documented on my Instagram and Snapchat, but I wanted to give you guys a little more of a recap in case you missed any of the posts, and for those who don’t use liketoknow.it, I’ve included the clickable links to the outfits. Some of the things you see here will also be in upcoming outfit posts too!

Day One outside of Moynihan Station, the main hub where a lot of the main NYFW runway shows take place. Nicholas K and BCBGMAXAZRIA were my first shows of the trip (and Nicholas K was my first ever front row seat). LOVE love these new Topshop booties that I was able to wear all day long. After a visit to the TRESemme salon inside Moynihan, I changed into my next outfit for Marissa Webb’s show. See it below!

I’m not even going to lie, I was SUPER nervous about wearing this St. Laurent satchel for the first time. Talk about stressful! But I knew I was only going to wear it to Marissa Webb and then for a quick visit to the Soho French Connection location where I scooped up some new spring arrivals – can’t wait to show you. And then afterwards, we had dinner with French Connection at this great place called Marta – mushroom and truffle pizza you guys!!

Day Two was probably my best hair day of the trip because we started the morning off at Rachel Zoe’s Dreamdry blowdry bar. I originally planned on wearing these baby pink culottes to the Nicole Miller show with a black pump, but since the temperatures were SO low, I opted to wear my black OTK boots underneath. They turned out looking super cute like that! Ps. How cute is the Dream Hotel Downtown behind me? We made a last minute switch to the Dream, and we LOVED it! The proximity to the shows was the most convenient, and hello, 24 hour room service with killer guacamole. I needn’t say any more.

What did I do on one of the coldest days of my life? I spent it wandering around Soho praying that my fingers weren’t succumbing to frostbite. It didn’t matter that I had three shirts on under my jacket or that I had tights on under my jeans. It basically doesn’t matter how many layers you put on when it feels like -13 degrees outside. But yeah, I really liked my outfit thought. : /

Adidas Superstar sneakers Option One / Option 2 – LOVE THESE

River Island pom gloves

similar liquid leggings

striped long-sleeve tee

The shoes that saved my feet from heels during fashion week were my new Adidas Superstar sneakers. I mean I’ve been really into sneakers lately, and maybe it’s throwing you guys off a little. It’s even throwing me off a little – but I’m loving me some sneakers right now. Especially these bright white ones. They were kind of hard to find too, so other people must be pretty into them too. I’ve linked two different spots to snag your own!

    NYFW Insta Recap

Okay, so I really need to apologize for the post absence while I was in New York for fashion week. It’s rather embarassing! I never really had a moment to just stop and focus on posting – not to mention the wifi at our hotel was the absolute WORST. So I send my deepest regrets for leaving you hanging while I was gone, but hopefully, you were following along on Instagram (@apinchoflovely) for some real time updates. And if not, here are a few of my favorites. Full outfit posts to come!
