I’ve put together a list of suggestions and recommendations
from my recent Orange County vacation in case you find your way out there in
the future! Here’s a peek at what we did, where we ate – and of course, what I
wore while I was there!

Lavender Salon and Boutique
An amazing blowout salon that has TVs on the ceiling that
you watch while they wash your hair. Whaaaaat? After a night of too much wine,
a blowout and makeup touchup was exactly what I needed. If you need a little
pampering time with coffee and mimosas, head to Costa Mesa for this salon
experience!

Strands Beach
I’ve been to Laguna Beach multiple times, so this trip we
headed to Dana Point where the beach is a little more secluded and less busy.
What we saw were cliffs lined with beautiful homes with the most peaceful stretch of beaches. We
legit took naps here and it was amazing.

Anqui Bistro
I don’t have food photos from the restaurant because of the
dim lighting, but I did have Snapchats of each course. And Snapchats of each
course sounds kind of excessive but not when each course was unbelievably
delicious. Hands down my favorite meal of the trip. I don’t even like steak,
and the prime rib was my favorite item on the menu. Then add in lobster garlic
noodles, mini fried chicken and biscuit bites, snow crab cones and ice cream
made right at our table. Oh yep, my stomach’s growling now. EAT HERE.

Duffy Boats
I had never even heard of a Duffy Boat before this trip, so
if you’re unfamiliar, it’s a covered electronic boat that you can cruise around
the Newport Harbor in. We brought a picnic lunch with lots of wine for 3 hours of
cruising and sight-seeing. One of the highlights of my trip! Give me rosé,
little appetizers and a boat ride and then you’re talking my love language. It
costs a little under $100 an hour to rent and you can fit up to 8-10 people on
board – SO fun.

Biking in Old Orange Circle
Old Orange has the flipping cutest little circle of
restaurants and shops, and lucky for me, Kathleen lives less than a 10 minute
bike ride away. We ate some delish Cuban food at Felix’s – so much food there’s
no way you can eat it all. I also window shopped at a few of the super cute
antique stores that line the streets. Cute and quaint and for second you forget
you’re in Orange County.
