I’m a Barbie girl at heart maybe that’s why I can’t resist the color hot pink. It’s also the first day of October which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so I’ve been holding off on this post just for this occasion! When I saw this drop-waist peplum dress on ASOS, I knew it was a party dress. A dress for a party with drinks and fun people – which is exactly why I chose to wear it during NYFW. This particular day of my trip was something not like the others though. It was the day of the rewardStyle party at The Empire Hotel. But more on that in today’s second post…
If you are a girl who likes to stand out at a party (or has a birthday coming up), this is the dress for you! I was super nervous about the fit since I’m not one for pencil skirts or anything fitted in the hips. My height makes it very difficult for fitted dresses to hit my waist/hips in the right place. More often than not, the torso is way too short. #tallgirlproblems However, I was very pleased with how the scuba material avoided any weird fit issues on me!
For accessories, I stuck with metals and black accents. You don’t really need much more color when you’re dress is this pink! With the low neckline of the dress, I’d recommend a bib necklace or something shorter than the actual line of dress.

I definitely think this would be such a good semi-formal dress for any sororities that haven’t had their event yet!

I’ll be pairing more or my pink finds for October throughout the month!
