It’s that time of year when we all need to give ourselves a little gratitude audit – because we should be thankful beyond just Thanksgiving, right? Koolaburra by Ugg inspired me to share what the spirit of the season means to me. SO, I started by jotting down easy ways to practice gratitude every day and am including them in today’s post!
And if you’re in the mood for a little more Early Black Friday sales, Koolaburra is offering 25% off starting today! Use code KOOLASAVINGS. I have the Koola Tall that I’m wearing in today’s photos and am obsessed with them! There are also cozy slippers that would be perfect gift ideas!
(True story, new slippers are one of my guilty pleasures!)
Keep Reading Practice Gratitude Every Day
Write a handwritten thank you note
As a former graphic designer, my love for paper products means I always have an excessive stack of thank you cards ready. The practice of the handwritten note is probably one of the most personal ways to thank someone – especially now in a world of text messages and emails.
Give someone else a compliment
Seems so simple right? But sometimes we can get so caught up in our own day that we forget to send a few positive vibes out to others.
Tell yourself three positive affirmations to start the day
And speaking of positive vibes, remember to send yourself some too! Leave yourself a motivational sticky note on your desk or on your mirror in the morning.
Pay for the person’s coffee behind you in line
Unexpected acts of kindness – even as small as a free coffee – are sometimes all it takes to turn someone’s day around!
Surprise your significant other with a meal they love
For me, this means Taco Tuesday or Taco Wednesday or Taco Thursday. But really, there’s nothing better than your favorite meal!
Donate to a local charity
Charities are especially looking for donations this time of year. Before you load up with more stuff from holiday sales, try to purge out old items like sweaters and coats to donate.
Catch and reverse your negative thoughts
This one is probably the hardest one to remember – but I think it’s the most important! The more positive your own thoughts are, the more likely you’ll be to share those vibes every day.
What are your favorite ways to practice gratitude? Let me know in the comments!

Lovely suggestions. I love the one about the handwritten note. It’s so genuine – and easy to do too. ❤
Have a great Thanksgiving! 🙂
