Happy, Happy Labor Day and first of September! I think it’s pretty safe for me to start posting prefall outfit posts – I tried to hold off as long as possible, but September is the perfect time to start a little wardrobe updating to prepare for the next couple of months. I’m starting now by picking up some basics like the ones seen in today’s post:
Boyfriend jeans – I’m a firm believer in the power of a good skinny jean, but I’m really loving the thought of bundling up in a pair boyfriend jeans and chunky knit sweaters. Can’t rave enough about this pair that I found from Gap that are perfectly distressed and fitted. (Shop the Labor Day sale and get them for 40% off today only with code DAY!)
Open-toe booties – September thru even December, I live in booties and plan on putting these Elaine Turner Dahlia booties to serious use. For the warmer weather, open-toe booties are the best shoe for transitioning into fall. Wear them with jeans, dresses and skirts. You can pretty much wear them with anything actually – rompers and shorts look adorable with booties too!
Fall leather – A couple of years ago, I had this gray purse that I LOVED. I wore it everywhere because it went with everything – browns, blacks and every color possible. That bag has since been retired because well, I wore it out. I finally have another gray bag on my shoulder and am looking forward to all of the places that me and my Sheridan crossbody are going together.
