Since this weekend is LSU’s season opener in Houston, I figured I’d need to share an outfit with a little for the fan in attendance and a little for the fan watching the game from afar.

Like I said before, I was having a difficult time finding something to wear to the first football game – until the girls at Candy Apple pulled this tiger striped number out from the back of the store! The sheer tank will be perfect for tailgating because of the light material, but it will also be a great piece to layer with a leather jacket later in the fall. However, tiger stripes can get too crazy if paired with any bright colors, so keep it neutral folks! Add a little color into your accessories, like these Kendra Scott Danielle earrings that are a such a classic statement earring.

I also have to talk about these jeans from James Jeans. They are the new Twiggy Dancer style jeans that are made with special fabric technology that rivals that of yoga pants. They are seamless and offer “second-skin flexibility,” and I have to admit, they are the most stretchy skinny jeans I’ve ever tried on. While they are less stiff and comfortable, I also found that they are super form-fitting and really suck everything in – more like shapewear. These will be my new favorite black denim jeans this season, so you’re bound to see these again in upcoming posts.

The Flying Fox Leigh crossbody bag (as seen today and yesterday) is the perfect neutral for this tiger stripe top, and I’ll be rocking both this weekend. The other highlight of my outfit is this pair of heels – most people cannot believe they are from Charlotte Russe because they so closely resemble the more expensive designer pair. But yep, I got these for a total steal, and they are great for transitional prefall outfits.
