Ps. I will be giving away this exact Jenni bag on Monday night over on Instagram!

When I decided that I wanted to work from home, I knew that it would introduce a whole new set of productivity hurdles – um let’s start with getting out of bed at a reasonable hour on my own – but I’m starting to finally get down a rhythm and schedule for myself each morning to jumpstart each day. I’m not a morning person AT ALL, so my morning schedule is super super important for how productive and motivated I’ll be each day. However, I quickly realized that by mid-afternoon the motivation can be fleeting and my attention starts jumping around to different tasks and to-do lists.
So today, I’m sharing my little afternoon treat that puts me back on track and other little energizing hacks that are keeping me focused and intentional throughout my week. You might remember this post with OLLY Nutrition from last spring, but now they are offering a new smoothie product that is perfect for lunch or a mid-afternoon snack!

Because I’ve made it more of a priority to connect on Instagram with more bloggers’ accounts (to establish more of a community for myself), I recently noticed the amount of people who have hopes and dreams of coming to NYFW themselves. But it’s not as hard as you might think! I came to my first fashion week with less than 10k Instagram followers and in the beginning stages of my blog. Granted, I wasn’t sitting front row and getting invited to all of the exclusive events, I was here and present and soaking up all of the fashion week experiences. Being in NYC for fashion week is totally manageable and attainable if you follow the right steps and set your expectations accordingly, so I’m outlining them in today’s full post – as well as sharing these killer flare jeans that I packed with me!

This is a post that I’ve been wanting to put together for a while now. Not too too many people realize that I have left my full-time job yet (unless you follow me on Snapchat and are putting together the pieces when you see me snap during the hours of 8am-5pm). I’ve had two months to let everything really settle in, and so I’m sharing my thoughts on my exit process (it was a very long one) that brought me to the world of self-employment. What should have been SO obvious actually took a very long time manifest. If you’re also struggling with your own career, I’m sharing 7 signs to look for if you’re wondering when to quit your full-time job!
As a background refresh, I graduated in graphic design at LSU, worked with LSU Athletics in creative services where I eventually became the creative director, left for a design manager position with Community Coffee last November. As of July 9th, I have been transitioning into being my own boss, and now blogging and content creation for brands is my full-time career. At the same time, I’m also assisting Community Coffee as a content creator – with the opportunity to continue this contracted role in the future.
