Baton Rouge is starting to feel some brisk mornings, so the first thing I reached for was my oversized cable knit sweater! There are so many ways to wear a sweater like this, and one idea you might not initially have is layering it over a light dress. It’s one way to wear a cable knit sweater without looking completely bundled up, ensuring that you can get double the use out of your knits before the temps drop.

The dress I have on is a spaghetti strap dress from Red Dress Boutique. It’s dark florals make it perfect for transitioning into cooler weather. It would also pair well with a denim jacket or a long, solid boyfriend cardigan. I have an affinity for getting double use out of my dresses – I’m always layering a sweater or even a skirt over them to create a completely different look, and this purple floral dress is extremely versatile.

Can you tell that I had fall tailgating in mind when I put this one together? How cute is this waist bag by Hipstsers for Sisters?! I wore it last home football game, and it was the absolute best for a day of tailgating. I was able to eliminate unnecessary items that normally weigh down my purse and stick with the essentials. It can also be worn as a crossbody or shoulder bag as seen in the 4th photo!
