Travel Proof Hair w/ Living Proof

I think we can all agree that one of the worst parts of traveling is not being able to have your normal, comfortable beauty routine. There have been plenty of trips where even just the shower water threw my hair completely off. Hard water, soft water, the weak-blowing hotel hair dryer… Your percentage of having a hair tragedy is pretty high! SO, today I’ve teamed up with Living Proof to share how I used the Perfect hair Day (PhD) product line to tame my mane before, during and after my recent trip to NYC.

I think the name Perfect Hair Day generates enough curiosity. I mean, aren’t we all on a quest to find our perfect hair days? With continued use, the PhD product line is supposed to keep hair cleaner – longer. UM yes to less washes and yes to me not having to go through so much dry shampoo.

So what is my “perfect hair day” like? Less frizz, hair that stays curled (or straight), moisture but not so much that my hair goes flat, volume but without a weird texture, less need for dry shampoo. Okay, so that’s kind of a lot to ask for – in real life much less travel life. Want to see the results of my PhD experience in NYC? Scroll through today’s full post to see me on a real morning after using the Living Proof PhD line. All curls and styling are all my own!

I’d say it was a pretty darn perfect hair day! I had tons of volume and the curls stayed the entire day these photos were taken. I’ve even noticed since I’ve started using the PhD shampoo and conditioner regularly that I have to use less dry shampoo in between washes. However, there is a dry shampoo in the collection that is BOMB. It smells delicious also. I also like that there is an overnight product that you leave on your hair called Night Cap Overnight Perfector which is perfect for me because most nights I shower and sleep on my hair damp anyway. I’m the worst at remembering to deep condition or take the time to use hair masks, so this leave-in is a plus for me.

Living Proof also offers a Hair Diagnostics service on the site that lets you discover the best products for your personal hair type. (I took it before determining that I should try the PhD line!)

Lately on social media, I’ve been getting a lot of comments/questions about my hair, so this is hopefully the start of me sharing which products that I’m experimenting with or loving and different hair tutorials for my waves. If you have any specific questions about my experience with Living Proof or have suggestions/questions for future hair posts, feel free to email me at [email protected]!

Thank you to Living Proof, a brand that I love, for sponsoring today’s post on finding #YourPerfectHair. (Follow the hashtag for more experiences.) All thoughts and all hair prep and styling are all my own.
